from past experience and from anecdotes of other parents, HCI via academic/Math is easier

              June still for application.
If submitted then go for holiday

But most of GAT will be in June.

Last year, GAT for RI could be taken in June. The other dates offered were in early July

                  DD applying DSA to DHS.

Their criteria is avg >85% for General domain, avg >80% for Academic domain, for her case she can apply under Academic for Bicep.
However her avg score is 89.5%. Is it better to apply under general or academic?
                  Does it make any difference?

                  Tks

Some Info on DSA to RGS :

                      Application period for DSA -
                      23/4/2012 (12noon) to 6/7/2012 (12noon)
DSA is by online application, please refer to link in website http://www.rgs.edu.sg.

4 Different domains under DSA -
                      1) GEP,
                      2) Academic (EL, MT, Science, Math),
                      3) Arts ( Visual Arts, music) and
                      4) Sports (Badminton, Golf, Tennis, Table Tennis, Gym, Netball, Basketball, Swimming, Sailing, Shooting, Tenpin bowling & Squash)

Important to Note for DSA CO,
Extracted from Sch DSA FAQ -

\"Once you have been offered a place in your choice school and have accepted the offer, you will not take part in the centralised Secondary One Posting Exercise as you would have been deemed to have secured a place in your choice school. A very important point to note is that once you have accepted a place in the school of your choice via DSA, you cannot transfer out of the school even after the PSLE results have been released and you have scored better than you expected. In the same way that the DSA school is committed to the place that it has offered you, you are expected to commit to the school where you have accepted a place. You can only apply for a transfer if there are extenuating circumstances because of which you cannot fulfil your DSA commitment after you have accepted a place.\"
