Some Info on DSA to RGS :

        Application period for DSA -
        23/4/2012 (12noon) to 6/7/2012 (12noon)
DSA is by online application, please refer to link in website http://www.rgs.edu.sg.

4 Different domains under DSA -
        1) GEP,
        2) Academic (EL, MT, Science, Math),
        3) Arts ( Visual Arts, music) and
        4) Sports (Badminton, Golf, Tennis, Table Tennis, Gym, Netball, Basketball, Swimming, Sailing, Shooting, Tenpin bowling & Squash)

Important to Note for DSA CO,
Extracted from Sch DSA FAQ -

\"Once you have been offered a place in your choice school and have accepted the offer, you will not take part in the centralised Secondary One Posting Exercise as you would have been deemed to have secured a place in your choice school. A very important point to note is that once you have accepted a place in the school of your choice via DSA, you cannot transfer out of the school even after the PSLE results have been released and you have scored better than you expected. In the same way that the DSA school is committed to the place that it has offered you, you are expected to commit to the school where you have accepted a place. You can only apply for a transfer if there are extenuating circumstances because of which you cannot fulfil your DSA commitment after you have accepted a place.\"

And Do Drop by This Weekend for the RGS Open House on,
        Sat, 19 May, 8am to 3pm
        😂 😂

Hi, need to know which result should I submit. I understand that schools are asking for P5 SA2 & P6 SA1 result for GEP. When I look at the result slip for P5, there’s CA2 & SA2 marks. Then there’s this column known as overall. Which one shall we use for P5? SA2 column or Overall column?

I know P6 is CA1 + SA1, in other words, should be the Overall column.

I hv been advised by jtoh that CA1 shld be considered as the mid year exam
since it was taken in May. I think i will go ask the sch.

                  Hi all,

Not sure whether anyone had already apply DSA to RGS or RI. The kids are require to write a personal statement about the achievement (other than grade) in school or community.

However, most of the achievement would be in grade. Just wonder what other things we can write, since they do not have any achievement in the community too?

As for the other topic, is the situation from experience that one can uphold a value or principle to them. What can the kids write about it?

                  Anyone can share?

                  Thank you

about the achievement (other than grade) in school or community :-

contribution / effort in serving the community - old folks' home, befriender to old folks etc, fund raising project for schools or for special interest group, etc etc....

upholding value and principle : honesty, courage, resilience, etc etc

                        Hi Funx3,

                        Thank you for the list.

I have spoken to DD on the effort in serving the community with the old folk, however she mentioned that it is a class effort and don’t think that it is possible. Also, mentioned on the immersion program as well as the CCA, but end up disagreeing with each other. Sigh… Will talk to her again.

                        Really appreciate your prompt assistance.

                        Thank you so much.
