DD applying DSA to DHS.
Their criteria is avg >85% for General domain, avg >80% for Academic domain, for her case she can apply under Academic for Bicep.
However her avg score is 89.5%. Is it better to apply under general or academic?
Does it make any difference?
Tks -
Trying my luck here.
My dd1 is going to NYGH for some talent development camp during the 1st week of school holidays. Anyone knows what is that all about???
There are 10 from her school. -

Important to Note for DSA CO,
Extracted from Sch DSA FAQ -
\"Once you have been offered a place in your choice school and have accepted the offer, you will not take part in the centralised Secondary One Posting Exercise as you would have been deemed to have secured a place in your choice school. A very important point to note is that once you have accepted a place in the school of your choice via DSA, you cannot transfer out of the school even after the PSLE results have been released and you have scored better than you expected. In the same way that the DSA school is committed to the place that it has offered you, you are expected to commit to the school where you have accepted a place. You can only apply for a transfer if there are extenuating circumstances because of which you cannot fulfil your DSA commitment after you have accepted a place.\"

Hi, need to know which result should I submit. I understand that schools are asking for P5 SA2 & P6 SA1 result for GEP. When I look at the result slip for P5, thereโs CA2 & SA2 marks. Then thereโs this column known as overall. Which one shall we use for P5? SA2 column or Overall column?
I know P6 is CA1 + SA1, in other words, should be the Overall column. -

Hi all,
Not sure whether anyone had already apply DSA to RGS or RI. The kids are require to write a personal statement about the achievement (other than grade) in school or community.
However, most of the achievement would be in grade. Just wonder what other things we can write, since they do not have any achievement in the community too?
As for the other topic, is the situation from experience that one can uphold a value or principle to them. What can the kids write about it?
Anyone can share?
Thank you -

Learn a New Sports, Art, Music, Dance, Kid's Dash, Personal Encounter where your kid overcome difficulties, Learn New Skill, Help in Community, Serve in Prefectorial Board, Debate Team, Olympiad competition, Xiang-shen/Story telling/Spelling Bee, etc competition, Overcome Fear of Water to get Gold Award, ....
And the List just Goes on ....
These R just some of the ideas I Rattle off the Shelf ....
Main thing is to write about the experience, how your kid overcome difficulty/handicap, and emerged triumph, attain self confidence, etc from the episode.
May Comes in Useful, with a Little twist, for the Interview.
My Gal relates tis to one of the Interview Q asked, while other Gals ALL talk about General Grades / Medals Won. So Tis Do give your Kid some pre-Preparation, pre-formulated ideas to speak out more confidently during the Interview.
