[quote=\"jesschan\"]Hi! Any idea will all RI DSA applicants get to sit for the GAT?
I have just received a notification today for my DS DSA at RI's to take the GAT test on 19 June, which is the first available date. I guess you should receive notification soon. -

My DS from mainstream and we know very well that we got practically zero chance, becos not GEP. But just don't want to regret not trying.

I heard from a friend that last year, some parents were quite upset because their children took up the offer to join some school under DSA. Later, they got better results in PSLE and wanted to withdraw and join a different school with a higher COP using their PSLE result. The school they first accepted disallowed and MOE supported saying it was a new ruling that it allows schools to have the prerogative to decide on such terms and conditions.
Is this true and which school practice this? -
All schools. The directive was from MOE. Once you accept a DSA offer, you have to honour it and hence cannot switch school after PSLE results.

Anyone any suggestions for preparing for GAT? need mock paper.

KS4Son:
Well, mainstream students who consistently doing well in school has a good chance of doing well in PSLE unlike GEPpers are on a syllabus not so focus on PSLE preparation and at this stage still busy with non-PSLE stuff.

Mainstream. I suppose there is low probability of success thru DSA but no harm trying since my DS is aware that he still has a chance if his PSLE results are good enough. -
Anyone can share RVHS DSA experience?

I see. Did this start only last year or has been like this all along? -

Who said mainstreamers have low chances or almost zero chance to be DSAed? Last year from my DS class, almost half or slightly more than half of them got in to IP schools thru DSa... Dun worry... This is just a learning experience for your DS. Ultimately the goal is still social university! Depending on your EQ... Dun worry be happy
