Any comment on K5? Tks
-
If I remember correctly, the price difference between the k5 and k6 is 1k+, but the k6 sounds much sweeyer, has more personality. Btw, i found that the pianos at robert piano at milennia sound much nicer than the same models at centerpoint.

Tks, anyone know if it is possible to get any more disc off the retail price at Robert?
They quoted $8385 for K3 and $10390 for K5. Not even giving. Full piano cover. -
Yahama gives more freebies than Kawai. I only managed to get a cloth for the piano top with the 10% discount from Kawai. Can’t remember if there were any additional tuning sessions.

We bought K8. As for payment, I can't recall as we made the purchase 3 years ago. If you are persistent enough, try talking to the boss. He's the one who makes the call.chamonix:

For the K5, when you play scales starting from the middle-C towards the LHS (bass), do you find the tones resonating evenly? When I tried scales on 2 K5's a few years back (one in Milennia & one in Centrepoint), iirc I felt that the D key (left octave of the middle-C) does not sound even with the rest of the octave. The K8 doesn't have this issue.
Of course I could be totally wrong: I'm a real novice. Could be both pianos were drifting or could be just my imagination. Maybe you can try that out and update me if I'm wrong. -

I recalled a few years back, if you pay in full (ie not by installation), there was some discount being offered. Not sure if it's still true now.

We paid in full (not sure if it was cheque, nets, or credit card) but definitely didn't receive any further discounts.

Since credit card companies charge a certain % as service charge, I thought that if we pay in full by cheque, we can reasonably ask them for some discount.

As for the installation payment, I could have confused it with my current piano dealer who definitely offers interest-free installation by credit card.
