Reduce gst to 5%! That will help everyone to lighten our load.

I want more subsidy in Childcare and more child care leave for subsequent kids.


Eg: 1st child - 6 days, 2nd child - additional 3 days, 3rd child - additional 1 day. Maximum 10 days.

Nowadays, once our kid fall sick, we parent needs to take at least 2-3days leave to monitor them at home. 6 days is not enough for 2 kids and above.

if i am not wrong, the birth rate actually dropped after the last implementation of childcare leave. Thus, there were some talks that the childcare leave is not good enough to make people wanting to have more children.

totally agreed hope the government would consider to have more rebates and subsidy ..... allow all working mums and dads to have longer childcare leave for school re-open and child sick leave.... :lol:

I doubt it will happen.
And even if it does, it won't help.

Companies can raise prices of goods by 10% just because of a increase of 2% in GST.
But will they reduce their current selling prices if GST drops? I doubt so!

But I won't be too greedy.
I hope they can increase the childcare subsidy & give some kindy subsidies.

Or have a fund for pre-school teachers (similar to MOE teacher's CONNECT Plan where they will get cash bonuses for long service). This can mean more passionate teachers & more experienced teachers staying on.
