      Hi All!

I have a doubt.I thought Mammals have 3 stage life cycle. But today, I found its two from a guide book.Pls clarify for me.
From My Pals are here, fertilised egg----young----adult
Some other guide books young ----- adult
      Which is correct?
We should follow the text book, which is \"fertilised egg----young----adult\". I think those guide books got the definition of stages in a life cycle incorrectly.

How irresponsible authors! Very basic and simple thing they put wrongly and make us confuse further.I saw it in one of the famous author's book.

Well, according to my DS, his teacher said both are acceptable answers in exam. He used the 'My Pals are Here' science textbk, so he saw the 3 stages as stated. However, in the notes provided by the school, they stated only the 2 stages.

Not sure if this is common practice in other schools though.

                      Dear All,

I am bit confused with the following. I think one mum already pointed out this earlier in one of the threads.

Plants - leaves grow/move towards the sunlight

The question is what can you infer from this picture/experiment?

                      Answer is
                      1) Living things/plants respond to stimuli (sun light)

                      2) Plants/leaves move towards sun light

These 2 answers are interchangably used in different books/guides. Which one is more appropriate (Living things move or living things respond to stimuli) or is it better to write both?

                      Thank you in advance.

In my opinion, the answer depends on the picture/s given.

Answer 1 is more appropriate if the pictures provided clearly show a \"change\" to the plant after being subject to stimuli (sun light). That means there should 2 pictures. A 1st picture with a normal plant and a 2nd one with the same plant placed in a box with the plant growing towards a hole in the box.

Answer 2 is more appropriate if there is only 1 picture with the plant bending towards the sun.
