1) only the food carrying tubes was removed from the plant. the plant was still alive after a few days. Which of the following reasons best explains why the plant was able to remain alive?
a) the root was able to absorb food from the soil
b) the root was still able to absorb mineral salts from the soil
c) the root was able to absorb water for the leaf to make food
d) the leaf was able to to make food and transport it to the root.
Roots only absorb mineral salt and water from the soil. hence A is out. C and D cannot happen as the food carrying tubes was removed. -
