        smartmummy:

I have past exam papers (u meant top school papers),normally i start with assessment books cos they will apply that they learnt at school then I go to past papers.cos usually assessment books are easy to do than the past papers.
For maths I do assessment book, then topical exam paper then go to past paper.
I usually tag those questions on the topic that my kids were learning (for the entire stack of exam papers) and ask them to do. They will get better exposure on \"concept and application\" and most importantly, they got to realise/identify which questions keep coming out in the papers.

            atutor2001:

            Hi smartmummy

I used to have a friend who spent her time in office compiling science assessment book using past exam papers to earn extra money. She would change some of the wordings.... so as to be seen as \"original\". Since then, I didn't buy any more science assessment books.
            Hi atutor2001,
:celebrate: to your friend who is so dedicated and having spend the time to compile questions; it's not an easy job.
            atutor2001:
Just my opinion; pass exam papers are the best \"assessment books\" - they don't have that many mistakes. St Nic's papers provide many good questions on \"analysis and application\". Roysth's papers contain most questions that are out of syllabus. Don't like RGPS questions and model answers because they usually have conceptual \"grey areas\" that are debatable. Above were just my past observations when I was teaching my kids but may not be true now.
            Cheers
Pass exam papers are good for practice after kids have gone thru their reading and revision. Thus, for my case, I am a \"new\" to the Science syllabus as my DD1 is in P3 this year. I was :scared: :yikes: when I looked at past year exam papers that the questions asked can never be found in that pathetic thin P3 textbook! So, from KSP forum - I learnt from many parents who given advice& tips on how to coach kid with Science and the assessment/guide books to buy :celebrate:

Currently I am using the following 2 books intensively to guide my DD1 for her CA2 next week.

            http://i51.tinypic.com/2upbi1l.jpg\">

Above just my 2 cents worth of opinion 😉

              Hi tianzhu!

I thought about true reading.I didn't understand by the term \"True reading\".What does that word mean ?
I didn't expect that tricky qn coming for p3?
              Hi smartmummy

The confusion arose because we are trying to understand the term “true reading”.

If you have a copy of the book, I suggest you write to the publisher for clarification.

If you keen to find out more about the PV relationship of gas, you may view this animated version of Boyle’s Law.

                        Hi,
Need advise for Question 7 (b) in the above attachment - is \"Latex\" acceptable answer? The answer sheet (written in RED) is different and the word underlined is being highlighted by the author.

                        :thankyou:
