It's definitely better than Delifrance. πŸ˜‰

If I can use the word \"Artisan\" bread (one forummer used it, was it b2b3m4) and need to borrow the word here.
:rotflmao: Can you hear my toes laughing? :rotflmao:

That the second insult to words today! πŸ˜‰

jtoh, yes, relatively easy to attempt the French Loaf, basically it is the same as you would do for other breads, but for my case, because I cannot bake in my breadmachine, I shaped it out and baked in my oven. 175 - 180 for about 20 to 30 mins.

Was in a hurry to go out just now so didn't comment on your 'CNY' Loaf! Very nice and professionally done! :celebrate: And the butter cake looks good too. :celebrate:

Sorry, can't answer that as I hardly ever step into Delifrance! But it does taste like French Loaf alright. πŸ˜‰

Seems like Happy Mama and jtoh both agree with me about having a party of sorts. Shall we make it a reality then? πŸ˜‰

My butter cake made using Z machine. It certainly doesn't look as good as it smells and tastes... and definitely different from the picture in the recipe. Could it be because of the flour I used? Or the size of the eggs? Or the reduced sugar? :? and why is the colour so dark. :?

It looks fine to me. πŸ™‚ But it resembles a loaf more than a cake. Tastes good?

It tastes good, except that the crust is a little crispy. Yes, it looks more like a loaf than a cake, but then again, it was baked using the loaf pan, so how not to look like a loaf? πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜‰

Haha, no, your didn't insult me, neither did I insult you! But first of all, autumnbronze insulted Delifrance by comparing my French Loaf to theirs and secondly, you insulted the word Artisan by connecting me to it!

Thank you! Yes, I am very satisfied with the CNY loaf, but not quite the cake. I thought it could have been better, but I just don't know where. Maybe I should try again, but this time using all purpose flour and LARGE eggs. πŸ˜‰
