      Happy Mama:
Thanks, Maid. See I told you, the colour is not nice la. But it is definitely very fragrant, especially when you warm it a little and spread butter over it. Yums!

How do all of you get the luminous green? Do we really need to use artificial colours to get that bright green?
Wait till you replace the liquid with coconut milk, even more shiok! :celebrate:

I used pandan paste, from Indonesia! πŸ˜‰ The pandan smell from that paste is really geniune, unlike the artifical ones from PH.

But coconut milk is very unhealthy leh. I don't use coconut milk even for curry. I will replace with fresh milk for when I cook curry.

Yeah, I know what you mean, but eat everything in moderation. Once in a while is okay, but my flies laden loaf will probably be my last in a while! πŸ˜› For curries, I use evaporated milk instead.

Like you, I didn't believe it when my friend first taught me. I had my doubts too, but she told me that nobody would know the difference and because I have eaten her curry before, I thought it was worth a try, so one day, I decided to do a test.

I went ahead and cooked a pot of curry with that but I didn't breathe a word to my men. I wanted to see their reaction first before revealing what I put inside the gravy.

Guess what? My men were non the wiser, so means I succeeded in replacing the coconut milk with evaporated milk without my men complaining that the curry was not nice. From then on, it's goodbye to coconut curry for us and it's been years since I did that experiment.

A tip is to use the Marigold's King's Evaporated Milk. Don't use other brands, especially Carnation Brand. The 'milk' smell is too strong as curry gravy. That's the tip my friend taught me., so I am passing it on for the benefit of cooking healthy curry. :celebrate:
