Good morning ε‰θΎˆs,

Using the z-machine, how to replace the dry milk powder with fresh milk? Is it increase the bread flour n replace the liquid to milk? If replace liquid, all the liquid or part of?? :?

Reduce the part of water

think i had mentioned in a few pages, that milk powder can be replaced by fresh milk, just the water portion be lesser.
eg, fresh milk 50ml, water was 450ml, now reduce to 400ml
J, if recipe say 7g dry milk powder, then liquid milk is how much? :?:

First time used the zojirushi breadmaker and it was pretty good. Got the ok from the kids and hubby. It is so easy to use. πŸ™‚ Will recommend this to my friends. Its not easy to get the milk powder. There's only 1 brand that I saw in NTUC.

Good thing it's organic.

Hi, I am a newbie in bread making. Would like to try this out one day with my children. Any simple, easy recipe for bread without a bread maker? TIA.

Hi! I'm also a newbie @ baking n I don't hv any machines yet (intending to buy the popular z-machine sooooooon  ). Ok here's a good recipe for beginners like us, easy with few ingredients :

Rustic wholemeal bread (fm HHB)

150g bread flour
150g wholemeal flour
1 tsp instant yeast
2 tbsp sugar
1 tsp salt
10g unsalted butter
170ml water (lukewarm)

Method :
1. Mix bread flour n wholemeal flour.
2. Proof yeast with sugar n lukewarm water, wait 3-5 min, till foamy.
3. Add salt to mixture.
4. Pour foamy mixture into flours, stir with wooden spoon till all come together, use knead with hand for 5 min.
5. Add butter, continue knead for another 25 min.
6. Oil( can use butter) bowl, put dough in, coat with oil (or butter), cover with damp cloth, proof 60 min.
7. Punch down, lightly knead, shape into the desired shape, proof 2nd time, 30 min.
8. Put into oven, bake 180 deg c for 30 min.

Viola!!! Freshly baked bread πŸ˜‰

Hope this help.

think some pages ago i posted sweet bun and soft bread recipe, u can check it out, it's not for bread machine πŸ™‚

Oh, but that one looks complicated with all the proving and don't know what. May be I am more dumb in this but as my kids will be trying out too, so am looking for simpler ones.

Anyway, thanks for your sharing. Much appreciated. :snuggles: :thankyou:
