I was surprised DS remembered that I will make a small well to pour in the yeast. He was helping me to pour in the ingredients. He kept telling me he wanted to dig the well by motioning his index finger in the flour :rotflmao:
I let him digged and he was rather pleased with himself and we pour the yeast in.

Hi all the bread making experts here ...
Is zojirushi bb-cec20 a good bread machine to buy for beginners? or should I just get a mini zojirushi?
A lot of us are using the mini Z. If not mistaken, think it's the only Z bread model here as far as we know of.
And dun forget to get Kai bread knife. Cheap and good and comes recommended from the bread experts here.
Will look out for the knife -

Hee hee .. have been secretly reading this thread.
I am into cooking these days and dw likes baking, so I thought we should get one and try it out. Planning to get it later in the evening when I go to town. :boogie: :boogie:
So have you decided which machine to buy tonight?
Don't forget to post a picture of your first loaf, ok?
Meanwhile, I will be borrowing from my Aunty her machine. Have yet to find out which brand. -

If I am not wrong, Singapore only carries the mini Z because of price reason. The mini-Z is already expensive so the demand for the bb-cec20 model may not be there if it is going to cost even more than mini-Z. Retail price of mini Z is $399 -

 my Z machine. Used it today to knead dough for my pizza. It taste different when the dough is made fresh. Taste better than my fav commercially bought pizza. Wonder if I'm able to order another pizza again

Did you use the pizza dough recipe from the Z manual? May just be tempted to try. -

I see a science lesson in this. You can explain to him why yeast helps the dough to rise, the reaction between sugar and yeast etc...I was surprised DS remembered that I will make a small well to pour in the yeast. Yes, there's is but think I will need to prepare it separately. The window is to small on the machine to enable my kids to view process clearly.

I will have to make a small dough manually so that they can experience it better
One of the activities during hols to keep me sane.
