Yeah, my DH is like \"whats with with you and the sudden obsession with the bread maker machine.\"
He will very pleased and grateful when you bake bread for him πŸ˜‰

Best part about homemade bread for our loved ones is that it's got one extra special secret ingredient.
      Ours made with L-O-V-E

Hi autumnbronze, Hi schweppes, Hi Happy Mama, thanks!

This thread is really great! I would never have thought of buying the machine without coming across this thread. I used to think it is quite impossible to make tasty bread on our own, now I have changed my perception πŸ™‚ Thanks everybody who make this thread so contagious :thankyou:

Tweety, yours is severin machine right? Someone shared, was it you schweppes? that the pan of Z can produce better quality bread..... Who said that huh? So perhaps the stronger aroma comes from the pan?

In any case you have a pretty loaf there. Aroma or not, when you put it close to your mouth you can smell it still....and it is healthy without preservatives. πŸ˜‰

Me me! ME shared. The salesgirl was comparing Z with Kenwood. She said the Z's pan was thick and made of don't know what quality la, so can insulate heat better and at the same time regulate the temperature, thus giving nicer bread. Not sure how true though :?

                        ChiefKiasu:

So much talk about bread arh? Since it only cost list $2 per commercial loaf that means you must bake at least 200 times to make back your investment in the machine πŸ™‚ ... and that is discounting the cost of the ingredients. Sure anot?
Ah... but dear Chief, nothing beats homemade bread. Sure, the commercial ones are cheaper and convenient to get. There's also a lot of variety in the market too.

But there's something special about homemade stuff. The family gets involved and there's a sense of growing excitement in the air. Everyone takes furtive peeks into the window of the bread machine as we wait expectantly for the bread to rise.

Very soon, as the machine works its magic, smells of freshly baked bread wafts through the air, permeating our home with comfort and warmth. Such are the memories of love that we want to linger on for our children.

Finally, the machine beeps. My children whoop with excitement. The bread is ready. We gather around the table as the bread is being prepared to be sliced and served. Crusty on the outside but tender loving warm and soft on the inside. Nice.

So, to borrow MasterCard's ad lines,

                        Breadmachine: $318
                        Bread ingredients: $10
Joy of baking homemade bread: Priceless

Guess, there is really some things that money can't buy.

                        Happy Bread Making, everyone :celebrate:
