Just read the recipe book for the Z machine. So many recipes! Garlic and cheese bread. yum!
Oh jtoh!!! You bought the machine already? Another proud owner of a breadmaking machine? -

Nice bake Schweppes! You also went for darker crust like me...and you have more ingredients too, nice! cranberrries... :drool:After reading so much about everyone's raisin bread earlier, I became tempted to bake one myself too. Just nice for breakie tomorrow. Instead of only raisins, I used cranberries and mixed raisins (i happened to have this mix, which I bought from Pat's Oven - selling nuts and dried fruits).
Here's some pics of my newly baked Cranberry and Raisin Bread...

The cranberries and raisins made the bread naturally sweet. Yummm...

Z brand only has one model sold in Singapore, you cannot go very wrong as long as you ask for Z brand.
thanks ksi.
So it's the cute vertical baby one that everyone's talking about? Too lazy to read through 88 pages to see which model everyone's buying.jtoh:

My take is better not because the sequence of ingredients is important.25hourmaid:
Can we use the prepacked bread mixes in the bread machines?
Never tried before, so cannot comment. Have been following the recipes provided in the recipes book that came with the machine or have been getting recipes from library books, so never tried those prepacked bread mix before.
However, if you want to do it as an experiment, i.e. don't mind if it fails, then please try and let us know....
thanks.
if i buy my machine and try it i'll let you know.

With the regards to the premixes, u can still use it but Z being a mini may not be able to hold the whole loaf. If u try to use lesser of it, yeast being already mix in the premixes, it hard to distribute and determine the portions, so unless u are sure u can use up the whole premix, it is not advisable.
Bread knife, i got cheap and good one from Ikea. Bought it years ago at less than $10. Still serve me well till today.
My big boo boo!
I pm-ed Happy Mama for Z's bread recipe. Reading all mummies whose breadmaker has not been use for a while and kaput during baking time. So, thought i shall test it out 1st. My Morphy Richards heats up with no problem so i went ahead............. Put in the tin with all the ingredients prepared. Pressed 'start'......... There is the running sound of the motor but the blade refuse to moved !!!!
:stupid:
:stupid:
Try to oiled blade, check if dough too dry.... Nope, machine just wont cooperate. No choice, rush to get out my kitchenaid mixer and prepared the dough the long tedious way. -
b2b3m4,
oh dear, your breadmachine died on you?
Looks like this is the season for changing bread machines....
In my case, my breadmachine overworked....I think we all need to use our machines moderately....   -

Thanks for sharing, b2b3m4. Looks like we need to use the machine regularly in order for it to be working properly. With the regards to the premixes, u can still use it but Z being a mini may not be able to hold the whole loaf.
