      Hi,

Any comments on Attitude Dance studio at Bukit TImah Plaza?
My 4.5 years old daughter has been learning ballet there, under Teacher Alice for around 1 year.. now she's in Pre-pri class..
So far, ok, but I didn't learn ballet, so very hard for me to gauge 🙂

& the syllabus the teacher is teaching is CSTD..but if I am not wrong, seems like RAD is more recognised? Any advise? 🙂

I thinking of switching her to SDA/Nafa in future(as she's really very keen in ballet & I think these 2 schools definitely are professional in their teaching), when should I switch her?

      Thanks in advance

        what is CSTD?

ya, any parents any advice when is the appropriate time to switch ?
guess it will also depend on how "experienced" the little dancers are…
some baby-gem if exposed to ballet longer can do better than beginner of pre-ballet who are given class based on age only.

        thanks

hi parent if you want your girl to learn ballent, can try school of dance. my girl is now with school of dance at macpherson. she has been with the teacher, ms koh, since 3 years old. she teaches both ballet and jazz in her class. there are many students from crestar followed her. some joined her later after so-so experienced with the new teacher.

hi for jazz she started last year when she followed Ms koh. i understand that bk batok and macpherson got both type of dances. they will do jazz exam first half year then next half year is ballet. it is a very good exposure for the kids. The regular lesson is 1hr and extra coaching lesson on a separate day. 😄

the ballet and jazz are separate lesson?

the exam is within the school itself? if so i will check with my daughter's teacher when it will be for my girl... 😄

Actually the extra lesson is only when there is exam whether for jazz or ballet. The exam is usually in the school. it is better for you to check with the teacher. Some students in macph actually took 2 grades concurrently last year. My girl had her grade 1 jazz and going for grade 5 ballet this november. What about your girl? Is she performing in the YOG dance? I am waiting for them to start a babe ballet class after this YOG performance. My 3 yrs old enjoyed the trial lesson so much. i have waited quite some times already. now just put her in crestar babe ballet dance while waiting.

wow, YOG dance, your girl must dance very well to be selected. :celebrate:

My girl is 4.5 yrs old and just started pre-ballet this March, so till now 4mths only... she enjoyed it very much...

sori, i am very blur here regarding the dance exam. Is the exam conducted and graded in / by the school of dance itself ?
how long has your girl learned ballet? how long does it take to achieve grade 5? you said your girl is 3 yrs?

i have 2 girls. The elder one is 10 yrs old and she started dancing with Ms Kok when she was 3 yrs old. The younger one is 3 yrs now. i know this teacher many years and hoping that my younger one can be her student as well because she is firm but not fierce and very responsible. she always wants her student to expose more dances. As for the graded exam, the examiner from RAD will go to the school. Yr girl’s ballet teacher will let you know when to enroll for the exam.
