KSP:
I just paid $100 for the 1 CCA for the whole year. At first I was like :!: & :faint: . Nothing is free in SG.
what about the cca uniform ? is it included in the $100 ? -

I paid $116 for my gal's tapdance costumer. Thats excluding the lessons. Nothing is free. Even excursion need to pay.
You paid for the costume but not the CCA itself right ? -
CCA in secondary school, is it free ? need advise from experience parents.

That's why the gov gave the kids edu save every year.tankee:
What is the amount?
I am new to this and found it very strange. So children from lower income family would be excluded from such CCA?
:?
isn't edusave for enrichment? :? -

costume is fine with me. same as uniform for those uniform groups.
same with excursion.
but lesson? is this enrichment or CCA? :? -
School just deducted $100+ from my dd’s edusave - for PAL (no idea what’s that), e-learning portal, excursion, stationery
It’s usually an once a year mass deduction from students’ edusave accounts at the beginning of the year
My dd’s school doesn’t allow edusave for CCA. I guess too tedious for them to process ad hoc deduction of varying amount -
Maths Olympiad training conducted by external vendors - parents need to pay cash. Cannot use edusave
Music books used in CCA orchestra - parents need to pay cash too. Cannot use edusave -
shouldn't schools be allocated with some CCA budgets? :?

Depends on the CCA. If it requires external coaches, then you'll have to pay for the coaching fees.
Of course uniforms, costumes, sports equipment etc are a must as well. -

Usually the CCA uniform belongs to the school. So just have to return to school. No need to pay, right?KSP:

There are several variations though. Eg. if it's a suit, the shirt/pants - usually the child is asked to pay for and it belongs to them. The coat or tuxedo suit will usually be returned to school And they ask for it to be dry-cleaned first.
For strange outfits like those for Chinese orchestra, usually the whole suit gets returned to school and another student will wear it next time. Afterall, the students outgrow.
