      buds:
Make sure you do justice to all the items you have bought and do fun stuff with your boi boi before school reopens. Husbands see the light when they see results. My hubs even co-sponsored some of my materials seeing how the kiddies progress and blossom beautifully under my patient and passionate efforts. :please:

      Good luck! :xedfingers:
Hi buds!... Not sure if you have visited the recent book fair at Suntec last mth - that was my \"virgin trip\" and got a :yikes: of my life seeing parents piling up assessment books & story books like nobody's business!!.... Tempting it may be (I went there 3 days!!), i tried to control my spending ESP buying MORE books means that I hv to spend MORE time to run thr' with them.. not tt i m unwilling, i try to be realistic with the amt of time i hv after work & on wkends....i know i cant complete e books..... :skeptical:

But of course i really :salute: the parents who do manage to run thr' most of the books with their kids... I dont hv obedient kids who will follow my timetable (I HAVE ONE FOR EACH OF THEM!!) to do their work esp when i m at work..on top of that, my patience starts to run out v fast when they r disobedient and i m exhausted aft work.. :frustrated:

Having said that, despite the fatigue aft work, one of my most enjoyable times at home is to sit and read with them or to play a game or two w them...and also late at night, to read thr' KSP forum on tips and ideas on how to make learning more fun from shi-fu like u... :udawoman:
      SAHM_TAN:
      Hi iLoveChubby,

Pls alert if you wish to sell šŸ˜‰

I still have a bb and boy still 4yos šŸ˜‰ :rotflmao:
H SAHM_TAN! Ha! my DS is also 4 yrs old - we will have alot of sharing to do!!... šŸ˜‚ ...
Before that, I hv set a date to attack Sep 21 next week... I believe they will have interesting resources, if not, i will hv to go back to Growing Fun or Learning Store for the chart.
Will update if I find anything interesting....
Sep 21, here I come.... :siam:

        Hi buds/SAHM_Tan

Just visited Sep 21.... amazing place!!!...
Heaven for teachers and parents who are keen to teach their kids at home!!... Bought some books, among them only found 1 set of InnovativeKids Level 1 :

        http://i39.tinypic.com/ndlru1.jpg\">

Currently Sep 21 does not carry the rest of the levels...
There are sooo many phonics readers (SOOO TEMPTED!!! :politebleah: ) but some are pretty ex like $80/set, alittle hesitant to get them.. esp not sure if my DS will enjoy or not...

Buds, i found the velcro calendar at Sep 21 too and it costs $93! :yikes:
Better back to Growing Fun.... :rahrah: :rahrah:

Sep21 is also one of my santuary too but i usually go there to take photos of the books and then off to buy it from somewhere which is much much cheaper even after factoring shipment cost. Me very cheapo right. :rotflmao:

Sometimes you can get these phonics books (even those recommended by Buds) at temporary bookstore. Just 3 weeks ago, i went to one such at thomson plaza. Selling quite cheap as well. Buy 2 get 1 free promo.

With temp sales it is really a matter of luck. But the bargains are freakin good!!!

I got some for $1 per book and they are hardcover boi!
So so sayang to sell to this day... so i keep telling myself
that i will have use for it when i resume working... whenever
              that would be. šŸ˜‚

There's a roving book company that sells 2nd hand books and materials
that i've always loved. I missed out on some Glenn Doman cards i wanted
to try out at a steal man! :slapshead: First day i chanced upon the box in a
corner near the cookbooks i browsed and put it back... supposedly i recce 1st
lar... ah den the next day, the box was.... 😢... GONE! Weh weh!

I asked the cashier where they'd be next and i'd be on the lookout.. :rubhands:
A couple of times i forgot they only took cash payment. I refused to put down
the books i have painfully scrutinized and chosen... (many were eyeing my pile
i tell you)... so i got the lady to tabulate... i literally ran to the ATM and quickly
paid the lady.. heaving a big sigh.. phew.. made it. After which i could hear ppl
asking the cashier whether got other copies for the ones i bought... not so gd
              condition oso never mind.

Lesson learnt. Never think twice or waaaayyy too much at bargain events! :politebleah:
