      Hi Champion,

We went to IMM on Friday night.
Bought the 3M table lamp...the existing light causes 'distress' for the eyes as it's too bright.

Just marked the topic on 'heat energy' this morning. So mad son has forgotten it  I like the questions in Learning Science...they are interesting and answers are good...a pity the key words are not underlined or printed bold.

      Hi,

may I check with you which range of 3M table lamp did you buy? I am deciding to choose the philip 69195 or 3 M LED2000. Any suggestions?

here's something I created for my kid to revise magnets. It's a mind map of the key points of the topic.

        http://flic.kr/p/aLZG1M

if you want the pdf (it's much easier to read and print out), you can download it here:
        https://www.cx.com/mycx/share/WGbEyRl6EeGhqRICOBubSA/Magnets.pdf

let me know if there are issues in downloading.

I might put in some videos to supplement the mind map, might be interesting. Let me know your thoughts.

              Hi Janice,

I saw many parents buying 3M table lamp from Bookfest...there should be better discounts I guess. Mine is the basic model. $179. All I wanted is the polarizing layer...with these 2 fellas like monkeys at home, a very elaborate and or the latest model will also die under their hands. :slapshead:

From what I know the basic model was 20% discount at bkfest. The new models were on 10% discount. If buy the most ex one, there's a box of free gifts consisting of 3M products. Sorry I did not keep track of the model numbers.

I did not see the philips lamp, so cannot comment. 😄

My son' short-sighted degree increases by 100 every year...so I am very worried for him. That's why I told hubby the table lamp must be of good quality...when my eyes hurt after a while of marking his work, I knew something had to be done. So we explored the diff brands of table lamps.

                    Hi all,

I have purchased the Ultimate Sc Lower Block for my P3 this year and noticed that there is also a Ultimate Science PSLE which comprised of all topics. Now the PSLE one is going for $13.90 till 4 Dec at the Polpular.

Wondering if I should buy this one now or buy the Upper Block later on? Can anyone help to comment if there is a difference between the PSLE one and the ‘Lower & Upper Block’ combined?

                        Atan

i briefly compared the lowerblock and the PSLE ones many months back. the lowerblock one is similar to the PSLE ones with slightly more details (slightly only as i only managed to spot one in the diversity). i ended up buying the PSLE one cos on offer! then we realised that with 1 book, my kid has the flexibility to browse other topics in a single book. he was resistant in approaching the thick book initially (that time i regret why i did not buy lowerblock only), but now he is ok and will sometimes flip to upperblock to looksee when i told him to read lowerblock chapters.
since you have lower block already, and esp if you had highlighted and made notes, i think you need only buy upper block ones. MHO.
