Came across this book in Popular :

              http://i39.tinypic.com/8wl6jr.jpg\">

Any advice if it is necessary to get a Science Dictionary like this? Does it really help?.. Currently my DS is relying on normal dictionary/goggle for difficult words.
And it seems that this is the only Sci dictionary in Popular, didnt see any others.

              Hihi,

Just kaypoing here on a wet and cool afternoon. Dd1 will be in P3 next yr. From reading the various posts, I think for science, need to think about it in scientific and not layman terms. I have not seen the bk yet. Maybe you can compare the explanations and gauge. Are the terms explained in a more scientific manner that will help in answering qns later on? But if the explanations are too difficult, it will be a white elephant.

              Hi SAHM_TAN
I went to flip thr' the book again yday... It categories the words by topics (Diversity.. Interaction)... on top of the explanation of the words, they also introduce some further information and FAQs relating to the words.. can last till P6.
At first thot of waiting for the Popular Fair but since there is currently 20% off on this book, I bot it! 😂

Actually I was wondering the same.

my DD also did MCQ practice using the Nail these MCQ's and she get nearly 100% marks.

past year paper MCQ's are more trickier actually..
Nail has answers and explanations side-by-side with the questions. Does it explain why they have 100% correct? 😆 🦆

I did the mcq together with my child. We covered the answers. I found that the choices are not well set. The answer is very obvious for most of the questions. However we only did a few chapters. ( Normally I will work together with my child when he is starting on a new assessment book so that I can gauge the standard of the assessment book and whether it is worth spending the time). Just my own views.
