You can ask the staffs at popular or your tutor to recommend the books.

Actually it is hard to depend on Popular staff to recommend...although they face assessment all the time, they do not really know if certain titles are helpful or not. Maybe they can advise guide books bcos when certain titles are printed on school book list, parents will get from popular.
For eg PSLE science guide (orange cover) or ultimate science.
These 2 titles are often recommended by popular staff. But I seldom touched guide books this year.

There’s this Popular staff at Lot 1 Popular who is quite good at advising on which assessment/guide books to buy. Too bad I didn’t get her name.

I know there are many pages for each subject…so it’s pointless to upload pics unless the titles are new. Some of the guide books are the same old ones mentioned…with exams getting tougher, it’s really useless to buy reference. Check up yahoo, google or Wikipedia.

Actually on books recommendation, I was thinking along the line od how useful it would be if we have a bloglike section on assessment books. Then under the comments, people can input their review like those we find in the portal about commenting on articles. You get what I mean? But I think that will be a lot of work.

The problem now is if someone shares a very good book here in this page 223 then in the next few days others will share their experiences and post the pic of this book here. So all these info will stay at next few pages. But if 6 months down the road this thread reaches say 300pages. Then for someone new or even existing member will have to go thru 300pages to look for the books.


So i’m suggesting to have a volunteer to post the title and pic on the 1st page to make it easier for everyone to reference.

Actually i have asked the mod to merge all the titles on the 1st pages few months back. But more titles are still coming in and i hope they can be merged into the 1st page as well. I feel is not so nice to always bother the mod to keep appending the list and that’s why i came out with this idea to get volunteer from someone who are actively involved here.

Actually so many assessments books coming every month and updated.So previously,one book is best and now, another book is best.In future another book will be best.In my POV,visit often KSP and learn about new updates.Another thing one book work for one child another book for another child.So can’t be dependable of recommendations.visit popular and analyse which one suits for ur child.

May be we just update the list but not much would help.

Prev, I flipped through so many pages and bought some books.I didn’t buy the old recommended books.So the new comers read back to front and skip 4 pages, and find current updated books and can buy.

All-time-favourites are the two guide books.May be we can upload the pictures of them in the first page.So no need to upload again and again.

Dear Parents,


I am just a worried aunt which i desperately need everybody's help. On last Sunday, seeing bishan popular having storewide discount. I decided to buy an assessment book-conquer science for primary levels for pri 3/4-contains more than 650 qns from teachers@work. To my shock and dismay, it doesnt have answer sheet and there are scribbles in it. I cannot exchange it as i doubt popular will think its new and also i lost the receipt as i paid by cash.

I seriously need help in the answer sheet. can any kind souls share the answer key with me?
