I think what Janet meant is that the current syllabus is new. So we can use the same books.

Current Sc Syllabus -- implemented from 2008.
If not remembered wrongly, shd be:
2008 - P3 & 4
2009 - P5
2010 - P6

Janet Sim's 6 in one boxed set or Renee Chong's books are good. You can also try casco classroom. I find Janet Sim's Challenging Science and Challenging exam papers (2 books) are good.

I read from this forum that there wont be enough time to do several assessment books from P5 onwards as there will be more supplementary classes. So don’t buy a lot.

My son hesitate to try the challenging one.I bought challenging book by ACE last year for P3/P4.He opened and see and refused to try.He can do past papers.

Then try Janet Sim or Renee Chong's boxed set. Not so challenging but adequately test the process skills

I checked with my DD's form teacher and she said that she did not hear any change for Science.


Anyway, I am curious to know about that assessment book too
