Other than the power-pack science assessment book recommended by James, any other recommended Science assessment book for upper block (P5-P6)? I was planning to get 2 Sci assessment books to last kid thru' from P5- P6. Thanks

I think CASCO's P6 book is good, they test on forces in the form of a rolling wheel's direction of friction, and the gravitional acceleration of objects with different masses with or without air resistance.

The emphasis is going to be on process skills for the new science syllabus. So go get these CASCO books to practise;

Classroom Science Process Skills New Syllabus Upper Block Book 1(P5) and Book 2 (P6), $8.95 each. Maybe cheaper at Popular Bookfair or with 20% discount coupon.

I teach only P5/P6 students (other levels are covered by other specialists) because the work is now tougher and some questions/concepts are from O Levels Pure science and Sec Maths (due partly to use of calculator). Of course I also teach O levels and IP students that's why I know these are Upper sec level questions/concepts.

Generally the new syllabus CASCO Books (both Upper block and Lower block) are up-to-date and suitable for students.

I have my own materials posted online and many parents send email request to get my PSLE Materials. I don't write books, there are too many titles in the marketplace already and some old ones are destined for the rubbish bins, these days, anyone can write and publish their own books if they have the money. I was on TV program on Channel Newsasia though, this is better for me than rewriting the same facts or summarising textbooks. No one creates new Science though, usually just repackage old facts into new books. I however respect the professional book publishers such as CASCO and EPH that produce new titles to cover new Science syllabus to help students to cope with their learning and practice.
