If you can find a suitable thread, maybe you would like to create a new one. But then, kindy books not really as crucial...in fact, some are rather tough. Give your gal in K2 a break lah...when she goes to P1, it's no longer honeymoon.

Feel guilty as busy at work and no time to bring the kids out even it is school holidays  ....so besides, T.V., fun-play and the occasional squabble among the 3 of them, both DDs will spend time doing assessment books. DD1 will guide DD2 and leave the difficult parts till mummy comes home at night.

Yea, from those thread I read - P1 for some are no longer honeymoon 😢..

Everywhere is crowded now that it's the holidays. Very sian to see many people around when I can normally going places off-peak. I have a phobia for crowds.
I get my kids to do 1 hour of work every morn before we go to mum's place. They will have to take a nap in the afternoon.
My gal in P1 was taught to write compo (using 2 pic)...stuff like paragraph and simple sentences.

Best that based on what you think your kid needs, choose the appropriate one for him / her. Difficult to advise based on titles as you need to look thru' the books to have a better feel as you know your kid's strength / weakness the best. Some people will say this book is good, but it may be more suitable for kids who already have certain foundation. If given to another kid whose foundation is weaker, it does not help.

                Hi Mums,

It’s hard to advise which Science assessment is appropriate.
Many times, I look at the sample pages in the publisher’s website (SAP)…then I’ll shortlist and go to Popular to check out the book.

These are the titles I have, and find useful.

:thankyou: ksi for taking the time & effort to do it! :salute: :hugs:

For this school holiday, my DD1 has just started doing the \"Primary 3/4 Longman My Weekly Companion Science Book A\" as recommended by HappyMama :thankyou: :snuggles: A good revision for her as she able to attempt the topical worksheets on her own and hopefully (I 🙏 ) she can finish up to the last topic for the SA1. :please: This book is good for daily/weekly practice but in my own opinion and \"feedback\" from DD1 - \"The OE answer is too short & sweet; not detail enough!\" 😉

Once again, thank you for the compliment :hi5:. As we did not plan for any \"overseas\" trip this June holiday so all 3 kids will be \"free & easy\" at home :pokeeye: ....Told DD1 she has to be a \"role model\" to her younger siblings and also to \"brush up her weaker subjects\" 😉, thus she will \"auto-pilot\" do one assessment book every other day 🆒...

Kids being kids - they still need parents' companion  . I wish to have more time with them but due to work commitment; 🤷 🤷

                        Hi Champion,

Your daughter is really disciplined. I'm sure she will be able to handle SA2 with her consistent practice.

The other day, I asked him to get the chapter on life cycle of animals done. There was a question I couldn't figure out...maybe parents here can advise.
Q: Why does the adult butterfly lay eggs on the underside of leaves ?
A: So that the young will have food when it is hatched :scratchhead:
(shouldn't it be 'so that predators cannot find the eggs easily')

Q: Why is the diet of the young and adult butterfly different ?
A: So that they do not compete for the same food (acceptable ?)
