      ksi:

For this school holiday, my DD1 has just started doing the \"Primary 3/4 Longman My Weekly Companion Science Book A\" as recommended by HappyMama :thankyou: :snuggles: A good revision for her as she able to attempt the topical worksheets on her own and hopefully (I πŸ™ ) she can finish up to the last topic for the SA1. πŸ˜‰

      Hi Champion

Your DD1 is so sweet  and hardworking :salute: .

        Hi Champion

Your DD1 is so sweet  and hardworking :salute: .[/quote]Hi Brenda,
Once again, thank you for the compliment :hi5:. As we did not plan for any \"overseas\" trip this June holiday so all 3 kids will be \"free & easy\" at home :pokeeye: ....Told DD1 she has to be a \"role model\" to her younger siblings and also to \"brush up her weaker subjects\" πŸ˜‰, thus she will \"auto-pilot\" do one assessment book every other day πŸ†’...

Kids being kids - they still need parents' companion  . I wish to have more time with them but due to work commitment; 🀷 🀷

          Hi Champion,

Your daughter is really disciplined. I'm sure she will be able to handle SA2 with her consistent practice.

The other day, I asked him to get the chapter on life cycle of animals done. There was a question I couldn't figure out...maybe parents here can advise.
Q: Why does the adult butterfly lay eggs on the underside of leaves ?
A: So that the young will have food when it is hatched :scratchhead:
(shouldn't it be 'so that predators cannot find the eggs easily')

Q: Why is the diet of the young and adult butterfly different ?
A: So that they do not compete for the same food (acceptable ?)

Hi everyone, I m new here. M shocked to c so many different types of Science Assessment Books and I have yet to buy any for my P4 boy. Oh dear! So far, he has not done any except school’s. I have noticed that the questions asked during the exams are out of the box. School textbook info is limited and science lessons also limited. Poor children.

Has anyone got hold of science practice primary 5 and 6. It’s white in color with a picture of a butterfly on a flower. Publisher is Marshall Cavendish. First published 2011.

I have updated Janet's first post with the list of recommendations for ease of reference. In future, if any new recommendations or updates, please give us a tinker.

:thankyou: ksi for taking the time & effort to do it! :salute: :hugs:

                Hi Champion,
My pleasure....I believe this is what Chief + founders want to achieve in this community, to assist one another to stay \"kiasu\" at the appropriate level to help our children. :celebrate:

From time to time I will scan this thread and update the latest on page 1. Janet's latest post has been updated to page 1.

There are many titles of Science assessment books and kiasu mummy here has several titles...yet can still finish because from time to time, I will ask him to revise P3/4 Science in case he forgets.
Questions tested in exams are way out of the box and it's only through exposure to diff assessment books that kids gain more knowledge and improve in the Section B (open-ended section). Popular science assessment section is my 'library'.

True. Can be a case of similar question set in different way.
