Parents are requested to revise everything that has been taught and this time, Comprehension OE also included. I will do what I can with her...cannot push too much or I will suffer a meltdown.

Look like the P1 in year 2006 and year 2011 really have great different!!! ๐Ÿ˜“

I also came across a pre-school Sciecne Assessment book cover topics that leant in P5 like Dispersal of Seeds (Wind, splitting, water, wind etc)! :scared:[/quote]

      It's very different ๐Ÿ˜“
When my son was in P1 in 2007, challenging part was coaching him in HCL. English and Math was still manageable. My gal in P1 this year has heuristics, picture compo, comprehension OE and orals :faint: :faint:

I bought 2 Science books for P1/2 with the intention of introducing my P1 gal to Science earlier but no time to start.

            Hi Brenda,

P1s not having an easy time nowโ€ฆsome schools have brought the learning of new stuff to P1/2. On the other hand, there are kiasu parents like myself who wish to introduce stuff like basic Science earlier so that the kids donโ€™t suffer at P3โ€ฆbut realized time is so tight and now that book is staring at me from the shelf. Hope it doesnโ€™t go to waste.
Maybe Iโ€™ll start in Sep during that 1 week break.

              Hi Janet

You're not kiasu lah! Is just the situation today is very different and if we don't help the child then they may have face the bigger problem later.

Because I have seen the headache my son faced while learning Science earlier, I don't want my younger girl to face the same prob...but her school is rather 'on' and that leaves me with no time to start Science. Fortunately she is in the morn session, or else I really have no time to revise with her.

dd has no time to copy and she doesn't like my (messy) handwriting so I'm not allowed to copy for her. I asked dd to read model answers directly.

The school does not have practical exams for P3.
