Oh yes, just invested in a new chop 'IMPORTANT' 2 days ago.
When I see certain questions with answers that must be memorized, I stamp IMPORTANT beside the answer.

Just to check, if keywords are already in bold, aren't they already important? Do you mean, even among key words, some are more important? How to differentiate? Thanks. I know I'm a bit ks, my DD1 only going to P1 next yr but I'm already kaypoing in this thread........but can't help it.......... πŸ˜„

Keywords in bold are important...but important in the sense that child must know how to spell words like 'fertilization', 'gullet', magnetism' for eg. For labelling a diagram, it can be 1/2m or 1m for that answer and that's why I stamp IMPORTANT (to know how to spell).[/quote]oic. Thanks for sharing πŸ˜„

Key words are important in Science as told by DD1's T too! She said never mind if the English sentence is not correct in answering OE question, impt is the key word must be spelled correctly! :hugs:

I am still learning and have a lot more to gain from experienced mummy like Janet_Lee & Brenda and many many more others too! :grphug:

Trying my best to help DD1 to manage her academic well so she will not πŸ˜“ out when moving up to upper primary.

For Science OE questions, grammar is not really emphasized but those crucial key words...my son had spelling in P3 for words like 'evaporation, condensation, leaf blade/stalk'.
I just finished 'colouring' the topic on Plant Systems in FAQ with my pink highlighter :rotflmao: My son is going to protest.

                  Janet! :salute: :salute: :celebrate:

You are a very dedicated & hardworking mummy to your children!

DD1's Science T still has yet to complete the syllabus for coming CA2 and I think she will rush thru the topics. So am doing my part to read up 1st and helps DD1 along the way. Hope I be able to manage πŸ˜‚

                    Hey Champion,
You can and you will manage...I have confidence in you. In fact, you are a very hardworking mummy esp since you're working. It's not easy to be a FTWM and yet so focused on children's education after a long day in the office. :salute: CA2 may be important, but don't burn yourself out too early. There is SA2 which is the most impt exam for the whole year.

:thankyou: Janet for the encoragement! :hugs:

Yes, sometimes really tired in the night to go thru the revision with her but am trying my best. Yes, SA2 is 50% and the whole year syallbus! πŸ˜“ :faint:

So, tell DD2 - Mummy will be more stern with her in Term 4! Haha...

We need to encourage one another with such a tough education system going on now. Remember don't get burnt out ok ? It's a torture recovering. I've been through it when my son was in P3 or 4. It took me 2 weeks to cool down mentally. SA2 in son's school is 70%.

If you can, plan SA2 revision time-table...it's better to start early and have some extra time to have a breather.
