Lucky they didn't develop asthma. Life was bad when I hadn't find out what was wrong with them, they seemed to be constantly having runny nose & cough, and was seeing doctor every other week. Their conditions are now more manageable as their immunity improves as they grow older.

Thank you, my dear fren. Moving from 1 lorong to the next, and nearer to you too! So, yep, we're still considered friendly neighbours. Luv this neighbourhood too much to move away.

heng ah, I marry a man with 4 brothers.
er... will the 4 welcome her? Hope they will.[/quote]2 of them, yes. The eldest dil cant get along with mil, while the 3rd one, hastily rented out 2 of his rooms.
            cascada:
Mine has 2 bros, yet everyone expected us to care for il since dh is eldest and we lived the nearest to them. I've no problem with dh fulfilling his duties but mil has her preference.
Now that's one thing I cant figure out. Does tradition say ils stay with oldest or youngest son. :?
            cascada:
1 brother moved back home after 10 yrs of staying with il on weekdays cos wanted mil to care for his daughters and cook & wash for his family. When his children are older and more independent, they moved back & sil turn SAHM. My mil was so heartbroken she nearly went into depression. That few months after they moved back, she teared each time anyone mentioned them and also sobbed in the night.
sad indeed. Even I would be heartbroken.

In my case, we hired a maid from day1 to look after babe and I worked subsequently part-time. So maid cleaned and cooked and mil never have to lift a finger. We even told her she's free to visit her other sons. And I left my dd alone with the maid..back in those days when there weren't such things as webcams.

So, dh and I can safely say that we've never made use of her; though his brothers felt that as our kids are grown and we've no use for her, we're kicking her out. :x

My DS is already 10yo, not sure if how he will be taking this ops, but he sure know how to 'blackmail' me by making me promise to give him this and that after the ops. So much for an angel. :faint:
10 yo is still mama's boy, eh? cascada. Well, if a psp can take his mind off the op, why not? He's such a brave fella.

                  Cascada,

Talk about long life…MIL is 71 and still kicking alive and active to move about. She has 3 sons…her mouth says eldest son very impt but yet doesn’t want to stay with him. Actually she is not welcomed there.
There was once she had a problem with her youngest son, made herself drunk and tell everyone not to mention it. But she herself called the son to tell him how miserable and all the sob sob tales.

Actually tradition doesn’t count. Even if eldest son wants to take both in, they have preferences.

                      Cascada,

Your son is 10? Mine is also 10 this year…like yours, very good at asking for things. A nurse told me that the Nintendo DS or PSP will be a great source of ‘companion’ after his operation to repair the missing jaw. This way, he won’t feel the discomfort at the pelvis area.
