      Then how come MY tears didn't work on my hubs when it boiled

      down to making a stand... for me? šŸ˜ž Wehhh! 😢

      Wifey's tears don't bear as much weight as their mommies' meh? šŸ˜›
      Don't bother crying in front of hubby...wife's tears don't carry as much weight as hubby's mummy. Hubby's mother can sob sob with words like, 'I'm so pathetic...after bringing up my children and so old, yet bullied'. If she says this, wives will all lose.

      BTW, my other half's parents went to US very reluctantly. They were reluctant to pack and only did so the day before flying off.

        snoopy:
        I don't look forward to the 2nd day of cny...my MIL asked hubby to be early to help cook for her(MIL's) sisters and all!!! I told hubby to ask his sisters to go and help, not me!! I don't (and can't) even cook for myself, not to say cook for others!!! I said to hubby, your mum only wants us to bring our maid to do the chores, that's why!!! He kept quiet!!! This is the 1st year we have a maid and it's the 1st time she made such a request......

        I think it's the MAID she wants, not anyone else.

                If they must become rabbits, pls turn into timid rabbits...it would be BEST if mine here stays for good in America...which I know is highly impossible.

                    Aiyoh, I didn't know rabbits' long ears are for blocking their eyes and ears from seeing and hearing. Such an adorable rabbit you are.

                      My wish for all the long-suffering DIL's on this forum that:

                      - we are as happy-go-lucky as the rabbits;
                      - we have long ears (I do like your analogy auntieM) to block out the \"not-to-be-heard\" and \"not-to-be-seen\";
                      - we have the courage and the presence of mind to hop away when the IL's get too much the better of us :roll: ;
                      - and most importantly, to be able to be \"bo chap\" when they want to pick a fight!

                      :celebrate: A Blessed and Happy, Healthy and IL-free (or if that is impossible, like in my case, the IL-irritant-free) Year of the Wabbit to all! :celebrate:
