Food is not as nice when cooked in a slow cooker. No flavour.

If you dun want to monitor the flame, use a thermal cooker instead. No regrets there.
Pressure cooker is good and fast but you still need to monitor the stove.

Hmmm, there is an electric pressure cooker from Taiyo. The model number is PC50M. Apparently, it doesn’t need to go on the stove, so there is no need to monitor it. You just have to set the time and it will do the rest itself. It’s being sold at about $188 at NTUC and Courts, I think. Any feedback from anyone? I wouldn’t mind something which could tenderise my meat easily and effectively!

            hi hokkien girl

i was at courts this afternoon in search for a cooker, and saw the taiyo pressure cooker you were talking about.

given my lifestyle requiremnts, the promoter suggest i do this:
            1. fill pot with water the night before, cut all meat etc
            2. in the morning, put in ingredients, turn on pressure cooker before I do my morning routine.'
            3. within half hour, pressure would have built up in cooker. Once this happens, I can turn OFF cooker, and leave for work.
            4. Upon return, just need to turn on for about 5 min to heat up.

Wonder if anyone had tried this?

Pressure Cooker saves time in preparing meals. The pressure cooker cooks 70% faster than ordinary cooking procedures. That is why I really love using it.
