Dear parents,
May I know if you have any recommendations for any enrichment centers as recently I realised my ger had a sudden change of attitude towards attending the zoophonics school. Im so stressed out cos its not her usual self and I really wonder why…or what happen… she has never been like this and nvr cry her heart out when gg to school in fact she loves school initially but for the last wk plus today, out of a sudden she refused to go to the school and freaked out when she saw the school too! I really have no idea why…im at a total lost now…
Need some help and advises… -
Perhaps you can have a talk with her teacher who might be aware of what’s bothering your child?

Hi All,
Just to provide some positive feedback about zoophonics thomson branch. My gal was with them since Oct 2012 as now I wanted her to progress into other program for reading so i send her for LCentral and LP for assessment.
Both center provided good feedback about her phonetic sound. I am glad that I have chosen the right program for her
& appreciate her teacher effort. -
Hi parents in Tampines,
My son attended zoo phonics tampines last year and sadly did not benefitted much from this programme. The teachers were friendly and approachable but my son is not learning much after 1 year.
I met a parent while waiting for public bus after my son’s enrichment class. Her child is 6 and she was reading a decent story book while waiting for bus too. Curious, I asked her where did she sent her child to. I met up with Teacher Karen, Tampines the next day. She’s a total package, committed, passionate and experienced. My child is reading well now, I am a happy parent.
If you’re looking for a Phonics Teacher in Tampines, please pm me.
My oldest child has benefited a lot from her and now I want to send my 2 nd child but she needs 2 more students to start a new class.
I hope to get my little one started by January 2015 -

hi all, i just sent my son to zoophonics at tamp mart branch last month. honestly, i werent impressed with both the english and chinese language teacher.
english teacher:
- sings out of tune most of the time
- instructs my son who is barely 2 to sit down all the time
- doesnt gives me the feeling that she enjoys teaching. most of the time, it just seems like she is going through the ‘routine’
chinese teacher:
- so soft spoken, none of the children can hear her when she starts singing
- bad classroom management
there are only maximum 6 children in the class. both teachers dont give me very good vibes and dont seem to be passionate about teaching.
DS attends kindermusic with Shauna and the way she conducts classes is soooooo different! she truly enjoys the interaction with children and her lessons are always very engaging.
we might continue until end of this year and see how he progresses. if not much improvement, i will pull him and look for other phonics classes. -
Hi, any1 from TPY branch?

Hi mommies,
My 4yo daughter attends zoophonics at Serangoon Branch.
She has been attending the school since she was 18 months old.
Recently she is starting to learn matching words(ie: C-AN = CAN)
I find that she seems to resist going to zoophonics and claims that it is v hard. Any of your child has faced/is facing such an issue?
I spoke to the receptionist and she told me this is a common problem but they will pass through this phase. I am not sure if I should continue with Zoophonics or bring her to I can Read to trial.
I am just worried the problems is due to the teachers not engaging the kids.
