When my DH not at home, sometimes my kids do not have TV time. But when DH is at home, they will have TV time. TV induce beta brainwaves. When I reduced the TV time over time I find that my DS and DD focus are better. Just sharing.
Er.. I thought it is alpha wave that trigger the right brain.

                Just clarify..

When mention CC. means childcare right...

So the intend is either CC or student care.. both should be half day ya..
ya CC is childcare, some childcares have BASC but no tuition. I asked my CC why dont they have it. they said for CC to have, they need to have teachers who are qualified to take care of primary students and currently, they dont feel it is good to mix primary and CC kids together..

yup for both, it would be half day

yah, too much of anything is no good. i'm couch potato, so find it very cruel to stop my DS from watching. 😉

If I stop DS1, I have to stop DD and DS2 too. The younger ones sure protest and whine...Guess tough to stop totally but since the younger ones are going to cc full day by next year, I guess controlling DS1's TV time during day time might be ok.

I m not a tv person.. but my DH is.. n my kids all take after him.. :slapshead:

Eat food.. DH on tv in his own room.. but full view for kids at dining table.. aws haf prob.. back face tv.. they also turn their bak.. muz use cane to threaten..

SAHM Tan, u also considering BASC?

Me too, on weekends when Dh is home for longer hours, they watch more tv. usually with me, not that i say no tv, but we just didn’t think of switching it on cos we have so much to do!

your Dh some days at home, some days not at home?

anyway, my ds1 already myopic, so have to make sure they play outdoors more than stay indoors. since outdoors, no time to watch TV le

i am a tv person but i find DDs lost in some world when they watch tv... stare at tv  , that scares me so their tv time reduced quite a fair bit..

My kids also have this problem of eating and watching tv at the same time. Most of the time, the TV programs are cartoon. If I want to watch my something I like, they will make noise. Then I will say, who pays for the TV? Who pays for the electricity? Then they will keep quiet.
