HiAiyo, my agony will last until next Wed!! AARGHH!!! DS's Maths, MT & Science papers will be next week. English paper on Fri. I think I need oxygen tank already. Will try to relax during Mother's Day Celebration this Sat with whole family.
Thankfully DD's P5 papers will end this Fri. I don't remember studying this hard for my own exams!!
This is really beautiful music to de-stress ...

Agreed with you fightingmum, DS Eng n MT teachers have told them their paper 1 , LC n oral marks . For those whose did well it boost their confident but those whose did not do well they wil be v stress to make sure they do well in paper 2 . Why affect their mood before the paper.......
Teachers like to read out their marks, some who did not do well felt very depressed. Some who did well labelled them as \"Loser\"!!!! :mad: -

Yes, yes. I agree!
I always tell DSs and DH that I've never studied this hard of exams. Seriously don't know what is wrong. I guess I can study all I want but if DS doesn't execute what he is suppose to...well...life would still have to go on right?
My DS always SHOCKS me, so this time I'm bracing myself. Surprisingly calm this round...maybe I'm mentally well prepared for the shocks coming in next week. -

:whut: this is terrible ! How could the kids say that to their peers ! :rant: :mad:mum42:

Ummmmm......I stressed to my kids they need to try their best. If they fare badly, I will be disappointed but guess the most impact will be on them, not me.
1st....if they wanna DSA, their results matter.
2nd....if they want their rewards, their results determine.
3rd.....if they want to enjoy life after SA1 (aka less scolding, less worry about playing catching up in SA2), now is the time.
DS (P6), complacent cos' doing well in lousy sch.....more bo-chup, can't see his competition. I shall wait & see.....in any case, if he does not fare well enough, he will know it's time for him to work hard for his PSLE in 4+ mths' time.
DD (P5), this one a little more gan-cheong cos' she's more concerned about her rewards which is quite simple actually (10cups of bubble tea :rotflmao: and of course, any other monetary award from me, Edusave, sch etc) . She knows there's lotsa competition in her sch. Having been lucky last year, she thinks she's good.... so normal days quite nuar.....dun wanna work hard, only stress when exam is here. I shall see how much she will slide down.....a good wake-up call too.
My 2 kids seems to have a false sense of thinking they are good..... :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :faint:
Though I know that if I really wanna push them, they can do even better.....but that will be pitiful judging from the amount of work they already have (actually i lazy
)
But no matter what, I think it is important that the kids must know it's for themselves.....dun study for us. I like to tell them......I will die eventually, so it's their own journey, their own life that they are working hard for. I hope they will be smiling after PSLE, not crying.

Learning is a journey which the kids must find joy in it.
