2012 PSLE Discussions and Strategy

Hi parents,
In a matter of 2 months, I will be actively surfing this thread.
Meantime, it’s still the last lap of revision until last paper next Tue (science).
Breathe for 1-2 weeks before planning for next year.
Wonder if sec schools will increase classes to cater to the increase of Dragon kids. My son’s school added 1 additional class during P1 registration. The other thing is whether the COP will be higher as compared to other years. -

I think MOE will manage the population of schools so that there's enough vacancies for all the Dragon kids. Question though is whether there'll be additional classes in the popular schools. If not, COP for these schools will go up, assuming there are no freak PSLE results that year.Hi parents,

My oldest daughter just finished psle this year, whew. But I expect that next year will be even worse because I've got twin sons doing psle next year. They aren't as serious in studies as my daughter, sigh. Older twin is v good in Math, he got top of his class for math this year sa1, but his Chinese is very bad, he nearly failed his sa1 Chinese (got about 50 marks) so sad, so sad, and so now he goes for chinese tuition with a private tutor. Younger twin is generally ok in his studies, but he's very mischievous and playful and also doesn't read books much. He didn't study much for his sa1, and he's also very prone to careless mistakes in exams etc. so he didn't do well for his sa1 and he got quite low for all his subjects and only barely passed science which is his worst subject, but he got quite high for English, his best subject. I am sending him for science tuition too.
Completely understand how you feel. My DS is always in la la land. He's good in Science and top his class in CA2. But all other 3 subjects have grades like stock market. One round ok or even good.....next round crash! He's so unpredictable. Totally distracted most of the time. Playing is still top in his list. Doesn't help with a younger brother around. When he goes for exams, I can't sleep in peace until the results are out. Never know what to expect! -
Hello everyone,
I have a little problem. How can I get Top School Exam Papers for 2011? Last year, I visited Mrs Wong Tuition website and was able to download the papers for 2010. Are 2011 P6 prelim exam papers available, too? I tried Mrs Wong Tuition website again last evening, but was not able to access it. Can somebody help?
Thank you. -
Dear mums of dragons,
my dragon son is in PSLE next year. i am looking english classes other than learning lab (on waiting list abt a year now).

oh.. just saw this thread! dd will be doing PSLE in 2012 too!! and my biggest move is I got my blessings from my boss to allow me to work part-time next year!! :rahrah:
So i will have more time to spend with my girls.. ya, planning what are the good enrichment classes.. currently she is having private tuition. I hope I will be there to provide 'needs' and not to stress out my daughter

A friend asked me this question - "What happens to kids who don’t pass their PSLE??"
Seriously I don’t know. Does anyone knows? -

Think can repeat P6 or go some school to learn skill. My ex-col's DD repeated her P6 2 years ago. She said not everyone can choose to repeat P6, I didn't ask her wat is the criteria to repeat. May be can check MOE website.A friend asked me this question - \"What happens to kids who don't pass their PSLE??\"
