PSLE 2012

ASLMUM:
May I know what to tell the teachers if we pull our kids out of school? Just say studying at home?

I just sent an SMS to my DS' form teacher letting them know when he won't be in school this week and next. I think it's better for him to stay at home so there is personalized attention but I still wake him up around the same time as he would if he were going to school. This is to ensure that his body clock doesn't get messed up cos during PSLE he would have to wake up early.

Same here. Popular at Jurong Point also does not carry 1186. But there are 1183 and 1196 (black). We have even tried the neighbourhood stationery shops but with no luck too.
I bought the stabilo eraser 1186 at stationary world (s) pte ltd 179 telok Ayer street tel 6224 2610 they close at 6pm
Told my dd about this stabilo eraser and shes nt interested but I tried popular AT UNITED SQ but the assistant checked and said they dnt cary it.

I told dd to stay at home this week to do her own revision but she refused. She said she want to play and talk to her friends in school. So I just let her be.

Actually I am more worry about my Sec2 ds. SA2 starts next week and he still bo-chap!
I shared my idea of letting dd stay at home to do revision with a mother outside the school yesterday. Guess what she said? She said I am \"siao\", where got people don't let kids go to school and stay at home do own revision. I was so upset to hear that word \"siao\"! She doesn't coach her dd at all, that's why she thinks I am siao! I didn't explain further my reason to her because 话不投机, 半句多!

Well, there are lots of \"siao\" people like us from the \"siao\" club.
One parent whom I spoke to decided to follow our footsteps. Another buddy of DS rang up yesterday and said that he's following soon. Oops, I hope we didn't start a trend in school.
But on the other hand, a close friend think that I am \"siao\". Her PSLE DS is also in the same school and this is something she would never do. Her eyes almost popped when I first told her about the idea.

ai yo, where got \"siao\". If the child can do better at home, then it's ok to stay at home.

After reading the forum, I did check w my DS yday whether he wants to stay at home. He refuse, saying that he prefer to go to school since the friends are around, can chit chat. Beside, he said the homework is manageable & school teachers do not require them to stay back. As at now, all his classmates go to school. So I let him be lor.
