      Studious Alien:
      Dear all KSP,

Just wanted to check if it is better to use correction tape or to cancel and write the correct answer above the cancelled one. Also, if we intend to cancel the wrong answer, do we use a pen or a pencil? Thanks in advance!

      Regards,
      Studious Alien
May I please have the assistance of someone with the questions as they are very urgent? Thanks so much and I hope you will understand how desperate I am to get an answer for this. 😓

It doesn't really matter whether you cancel it with a pencil or pen. The most important thing is that they are able to read the answer.

As discuss before, most kids are used to the correction tape. However, DD’s teachers have always encourage them to cancel the wrong answer and write the correct one on top or beside it. I have told DD if she really need to use the correction tape, do it twice on the wrong answer so that the original answer will not be seen.

My DS is the king of correction tape, he makes mistakes often and runs out his tape very fast. I guess the reason of you asking the questions is that you worry that when you write over the correction tape, over a period of time, the tape may \"fade off\" and the new and old answers will overlap with each other.

I have this worry before and monitor this situation with the papers that my DS had done before using correction tape. Over a period of at least 6 months, when I check back the papers, the tape still intact and no fade off. Answers that had written over the correction tape is still fresh. Hence, I am pretty assured of him using the correction tape and the same type of pens
that he has been using since P5. The marking period for the psle papers is over at most 1-2 months, I don't think it will do much harm if correction tape are used.

Thank you wsywin2012, Zekezachzoom and superksmum for the advice given on the use of correction tapes. Zekezachzoom, what brand and model of correction tape is your son using?

My DS is using PLUS Whiper Mr and Pilot G2 pen 😄 All the best to your DS/DD. Do not worry too much now... Is better not too upset the kids' normal practice at this point of time.

                        Hi, mummies.

About the correction tapes... it's advice to cancel the mistake with pen first (draw a line across the mistake) then follow with layering the correction tapes to clear the space to write over.
Reason being, after exam, all the papers are very tightly packed and sealed, some correction tape may just got stuck on the back of the paper on top and peeled off, expose the supposedly \"mistake\" DC written 😓 ....

                        BEST WISHES to all!

Go for it, boys and girls!
