I thought this is such a wet blanket for those who managed to finish early and savouring the moment of feeling accomplished.
Why would it be? :scratchhead: If they finish fast and know that their answers are correct, then good for them. There is no need for them to feel affected by my post.
If you think that my post would affect those who finished fast, then have you thought about how their posts on comparing who finished faster would have affected those who actually couldn't finish the paper or took longer time to finish? Is finishing faster and talking about it supposed to make them feel superior as compared to those who took longer?
I don't think I am being a wet blanket here; I am merely cautioning the children to be more careful in their work and to spend time reading the questions carefully. Anyway, there is no award for who finishes the fastest in every exam

My DS came back, damned tired and is sleeping now. He said the science teacher was late for 1/2 hr. Thought the teacher would go through the unmarked worksheets. Who knows, DS said it's a \"free-and-easy\" session which children asked any questions and the teacher answered! Now not sure to let DS go to Monday's supplementary class. Felt it's a waste of time...!mlim321:
My child has gone to school for supplementary class. Monday after the MT paper also need to stay back for the last supplementary class. The Science teacher has just woken up and realized that PSLE is here!
:rotflmao: My friend's son,his science teacher is still sleeping,HOD somemore!!!!
BTW, mine also a HOD! -

Great minds think alike, I totally agree with you, that is why I urge students/parents to be sensitive and humble.
And a student posted he/she finished Paper one in 20 mins, what is she trying to show?????? -

I thought it is nice that every year they break the PSLE into 2 parts. 2 papers before weekend and 2 after the weekend. Gives the kids time to rest. We watched The Dictator last night... OMgosh soooooooooo VULGAR!! I had to send DS out of the room twice.
But a good break from exam tension.

There is some humanity here...to break the PSLE into 2 parts. The run-up to first paper was filled with anxiety. We are resting today...cancelled this morning's CL tuition. It felt good :rotflmao:I thought it is nice that every year they break the PSLE into 2 parts. 2 papers before weekend and 2 after the weekend. Gives the kids time to rest. mummy so kiasu:
I hope if some kids here after reading those threads would not be demoralized by the others. As I said before , easy n difficult is very subjective. Like one of my son classmate said it's an easy paper, but she found 2 questions were not known. For some kids, 2 questions unknown supposed to be too bad for them. Some said the paper was manageable except last 5 qns. Besides, some kids even mentioned they finished within 20 mins. They are really geniuse I supposed. I told my son, even for me, I can't finished so fast. I comforted him that I don't expect u r geniuse, but a responsible and work hard person. I am not gonna offense anyone her, on the other hand, I would like to show support to all the dc here! At the end of the exam, u will judge yrself whether u have done yr best, or u regret. Psle is not the everything of the world, still some more challenges and exams are coming for u to fight. Well-equip! ε ζ²ΉBe a mom:
everybody said the maths are easy, my DD she worry now, after see the forum here!!!! she feel the paper is okay but not easy......
Agreed. The paper is Okay for most kids. Those who are strong in Math will find it easy. All kids have different abilities & strength. I think it is alright. Maybe she will finds Chinese & Science papers easy. All the best to your DD! -
Big fish:
I agree, I also think parents/ students should be more sensitive when posting comments, not everyone complete the paper super fast, or think it is super easy, it can be discouraging for those who did not do well. If your child did very well, the more reason to be humble. No offence. :salute:
ruohoo97:
I feel that parents should now start encouraging the children to work hard for the rest of the papers rather than falling back to 'past' topic and seems kind of discouraging to some weaker children after finding that their answers were not correct after PSLE. And parents at times gave wrong info, I think this forum should be opened to 'kiasu kids' to discuss school issues here personally and not thru parents ... I suppose.
Super agree. I skipped most of pages on discussions on Maths paper. Don't want to talk to dd abt it too. Now three more to go , ε²γ
Thanks Big fish and ruohoo97 for your agreement and support on my statement. I suggest kiasu parents should use this forum sensibly and consider other parents' feelings as well when discussion is done online like this. When my son was back from the PSLE exam, he will tell you not to ask any exam questions as he just released his stress after each paper and why want him to recall the question again ... he suggests why not just let him go on and start afresh on revision for other forthcoming subjects. I agree with what he says and whatever was done cannot be undone.
