Hi Funkymonkey & Concernmum,

My ds too didn't do well for P5 Math so I am getting him to revise his weaker topics in P5 Math first before I go on to P6 topics. Good time to revise during holidays.... šŸ˜“
hi there!mn,
Ya no choice lah...i told my boy its now or too late and luckily he agreed with me!! šŸ˜“
Today we memorised Idioms...i leave him he can remember 5 out of 15 in 30 mins...i sit in front of him he can remember 15 words in 10 mins!!!! :nunchuk:
we did P6 CA1 \"top school\"science and english paper last night..might do a math one tonight..good thing can sleep in during the holidays coz i won't be able to cope for sure with 3 kids!!! :gloomy:
Aiyoh, me too. Got 3 kids, really stress. Agree with you if I sit with ds can focus and concentrate. If I leave him to do, he will take his own sweet time. Must keep pushing him. :slapshead:

Hi Essential,
We're in the same boat...older one facing PSLE next year while younger ones are in P1/2. Hopefully I can focus more on my younger one when son finishes his PSLE and goes to sec school.

My friend recommended me Newton Apple. For P6, the principal and his wife, as well as the senior teachers will be personally teaching.

Hi Mummies,

Reading your posts about getting CA1 papers done giving me the jitters.
We have been focusing quite a bit on S&T, editing and punctuation done these few days.

Most schools would have finished most, if not all the p6 syllabus by end of term 2. so p6 is actually a very short and busy year. Besides learning new things, the kids still need to spend time to revise old topics. I think it is important to start revising subjects with heavy content, eg. science. And to clear all maths concepts, if they are having problems. P6 maths is really an extension with a few new topics.

I have 3 kids too, very difficult to juggle. I am going through topic by topic for P6 math using the step by step math. Now doing ratio. Hopefully that i can complete all the topics before the holiday end. How much work do you usually give to your ds? My boys always complaint that i give too much work when i only give then about 4 pages of problem sums and 1 english exam paper.

Yeah, P6 is just like the gestation period of a bb - 10 months.
There are just a couple of new topics for math and science...after that, it's doing, doing and doing past year papers.
I reminded my son that he needs to put in SHEER HARD WORK if he wants good results next year.

Hi Essential,

I heard there is a new Tuition centre opening up at Clementi Area that is quite focused in Science also. The Principal there is quite passsionate in Science.
