Ya its last paper for my DS today ... He was beaming from ear to ear since yesterday and I have to constantly remind him that he has 1 more paper today and no slacking until paper is handed up by 10+... It has been a \"long\" year for me....nagging, scolding, \"canning\" pushing....it's ironical that i feel \"empty\" after the exam. Next its the result....
Agree. A little empty...& got that bird flying off feeling also. -

HAHA... you are right

I do believe there are some DCs who will be sitting for their HMT papers. Please 'refrain' from posting all the celebration notes, if you can...my DS has to 'tahan' for one more day. he loves Chinese but will have to give full concentration for one more day.
:thankyou: -
Since Jan 2012, I have nagged, screamed, shouted, scolded, rewarded, motivated my son. Everything to get him to wake up for the most important exam at the end of 6 years of primary school.
I lost count of the number of times I had tension headaches and panic attacks. It had been very frustrating. I warned him many times that I was prepared to withdraw him from all the resources and give them to his sister if he doesnโt cooperate. It was only in Sep that he started to wake up from his dreams that PSLE was drawing nearer.
This year, hubby & I tightened our belts but I am willing to make that sacrifice since it is for knowledge. After all, I do not need to buy bed sheets, clothes & make up. -

Dear mommies and daddies in this forum, achieving high scores in PSLE does not necessarily guarantee success in life. We need to love our DC as they are not according to their academic excellences. I'm not resigning to fate but I do strongly believe each child has their learning ability and the pace they are able to manage learning. Lets treasure our DC and walk this path of life together. Really uncalled for comparison and hurting remarks will leave indelible marks in our DC nurturing days.Since Jan 2012, I have nagged, screamed, shouted, scolded, rewarded, motivated my son. Clear up the mess for each subject every night. Getting ready to sell all practice papers and old assessment books to recycle center this Sunday.
Your advise is timely, thank you.ChiefKiasu:
Here's a little caution for parents for what happens tomorrow. While we definitely need to let the kids celebrate after such an intense period, do NOT let them play all day/night for weeks.
I have promised my dd that she can rot in front of the computer from Wednesday onwards. She reminded me today that she's looking forward to the rot[
Mitigate the celebration. Get them to spend more time with you and use this time to get close to them by playing games and sports with them. Once they enter Secondary school, they will be teenagers and will prefer to spend time with their friends than with you!
I was actually thinking of throwing myself into my work and finally get things done.
Wishing all P6 students best of luck tomorrow!
I see the errors of my plans. -
Yes! 15 more minutes and that's the end for Science Paper ! :rahrah: :rahrah:
Going out to fetch my warrior home, pamper her with her fav food and prepare for tomorrow's last challenge ! :boogie: :boogie: -

Haha... I don't think we can stop people from celebrating the end of their PSLE. People who are already done SHOULD celebrate. My DS has one more exam but well... we will just manage it by not logging into KSP lor...I do believe there are some DCs who will be sitting for their HMT papers. Congratulations to all those who have COMPLETED their rite of passage into youth-hood. Go. Go. Go. Pig out. Let your hair down. Dance naked on the streets....
