After 26 days (including today 27), I am slowly on the mend...but still refusing to think of anything related to work...but YES to clearing the room of books and files...and VERY OK thinking where to go everyday

Overnight, my son seemed to have grown to become a teenager. Would it be better if he had been home-schooled instead? Then at least we will enjoy their growing up years. -

Homeschool has its downside too. You face your children day in day out, you have the responsibility of keeping them to schedule and up to standard, any lapse feels like it's your fault, you worry that they won't be able to fit into mainstream academically or socially in the future, schooling never seems to end if your kids are the kind that drag things out, you have to provide non-core subjects and CCA yourself... Having done both, I would still opt for school for most normal kids (those without special needs). -

There is higher COP for kids who are home-schooled...day in day out facing them can go nuts too...but can send kids for ballet, piano, violin, swimming if there is a worry of social needs. Honestly, if I am capable enough to coach my kids to the level of achieving 240 COP, I will home-school.gangnam:

What do you all do during the weekends? We still have weekend outings quite often.
Dinners, lunches, art & swim classes + 1 tuition. What I would really like is for weekends to start on Friday evenings and end on Sunday evenings. This way, we can really go out and have real fun! Camping, mountain biking, beach, or even short trips if there is a public holiday inculded...
All these without ever having to think about homework! This is really what childhood and bonding is about.

She just bought a basic model with camera function. Her DD was very sad initially but her DD was used to it after a while.slmkhoo:

DS asked for iPhone. It was a carrot for either a DSA offer or doing well enough to get into certain Sch. To our surprise, He managed to DSA....so we had to keep our part of agreement. Thanks to DS, He inherited my iPhone4S while I get to upgrade mine
