Neighbor does not like curry, cannot cook curry when neighbor is at home...if neighbor does not like the face how...cosmetic surgery? :slapshead:
This is how mediation works? To make citizens work hard to embrace influx of FTs in the expense of our own roots?
So much pleasing work. :siao:
Hope the town council bears in mind not to issue permit for that particular block for malay weddings/chinese wakes. Then will be curry smell for days.  -
Malay weddings always have so much festivities n good food. Always makes me hungry!! Every race has their own culture, my SIL has FT neighbours, they smoke n wear their shoes in the hse. N don clean up the corridors. Its been yrs, but no one says anything bcos we know their lifestyle is different.

It seems that they are very afraid to offend those PRC. That is why those PRC are behaving so high and mighty in S'pore. Every early morning, some PRC will play super-loud music at the badminton court for their taiji. I stay on the 22nd floor, and the music is already very loud. What about the neighbours on the 2nd floor? :mad:Neighbor does not like curry, cannot cook curry when neighbor is at home...if neighbor does not like the face how...cosmetic surgery? :slapshead:

why those prc are hehaving so high and mighty in singapore? haha, 100% \"ęēøęÆęå\" mentality. imho, everyone in china is so rich but how they got the $$$ is another questions.
to be fair, those doing the taiji might be a mix of local, prc and other nationalities. but i dont know why they need to turn up the volume so loud too :? . thought taiji is for good health sake but maybe one slight imperfection - all turn deaf after doing it. that's why music so loud. -
LOLMum:
if those PRC are so rich, shouldnt they be living in condos or landed property instead of taking up precious space in our heavily subsidised HDB flats?? :siao:sall:

they buy resale HDB to help singapore citizens get richer as they sold at high COV....and the prc can't buy condo as it is more ex than HDB resale
and of course they can't buy direct from HDB too -

I'm really surprised that this issue had to be resolved by mediation! My neighbors upstairs regularly bounce balls on their floor in the evenings. But I leave them be. I have neighbors who smoke at their windows and the cigarette smoke will enter our homes. But we don't kick up a fuss. I'm sure my neighbors will have something to say about us too. But they haven't complained. We live in such close proximity. Even the most considerate neighbor will inadvertently annoy his neighbor. If we're going to pursue every small irritation, we will be miserable people!
Hi, mummythreestreams
I do have neighbours smoking at their windows and smoke entering into our homes too. What i always do is to raise my voice and say \" Who is that inconsiderate ones smoking out there?\" Next moment, the smoke is gone!
Not sure if you have tried that.
