2012 P1 Registration Exercise for 2013 In-Take

It would be more reasonable to introduce this 10 years agoWith due regards to MOE's recent policy , what would my daughter's chances of admission to P1 be ,being a PR , with the following details?
CHIJ OLQP , 1-2 km , Phase 2 C .
I was wondering if it is really reasonable to implement it this year itself ?
Any enlightened parents , please help... -
I doubt the new policy will help in the registration. Based on my experience last year, I went throught 2 rounds of balloting, in phase 2C and phase 2C(S). There is just a handful of PRs in that 2 phases, definitely less than 10 PRs and the subcription rate is probably 1 vacancy: 3 children. I think if MOE really wants to give priority to Singaporeans, they should create another phase for PRs. Let all Singaporeans registered first, followed by PRs then foreigners.
-
well, it depends on location, i believe.
in certain locations, there are more PRs as compared to other areas. those aiming for NYPS, RGPS, SCGS, NHPS, TNPS where the PRs or foreigners population tend to be higher -
wef July 2012 -
MOE should put up statistics figures on SC and PR applicants, in all phases from 1 to 2C.
with new rules kick off,
fierce, intense competition amongst SC turn from bad to worse.
never before you get to see so many Singaporeans fighting over entry into GEM schools, from all over SG.
next, you'll see a surge of Singaporeans wake up and by all ways and means, Singaporeans try to PV get in via priority 2B.
this batch 2006 - PRs not enough time to convert into SC, coming up fast 3 months time.
but 2007 batch, look out !
There is sufficient time for PRs now to convert into SC.
there'll be a rise in the no. of applicants applied.
this rise in applicants come from (existing Singaporeans + newly converted Singaporeans from the PRs) -

isnt this the same as what the Govt has done?
creating another phase for PR where majority of schools will only have less than 10 applicants is a waste of time and resources. What they have done now is Singapore first, then PR for leftover places... -
This phrase \"Singaporeans first, PRs next\" is NOT True in all phases 1 to 2C.
don't forget -
currently under phase 1 and 2A, Singaporeans and PRs kids both go in concurrently together. -

I have yet to see that in clarity. The MOE announcement says all phases and did not quote only 2B and 2C did they? This phrase \"Singaporeans first, PRs next\" is NOT True in all phases 1 to 2C.

The headlines read Singaporeans will have ABSOLUTE PRIORITY.
In anycase, i doubt it matters in 1 to 2A since there are ample spaces for those who qualify and historically, no one was ever balloted out.... -

It is precisely because we haven't witnessed any balloting in P2A that MOE did not want to specify the phases in their press release.I have yet to see that in clarity. The MOE announcement says all phases and did not quote only 2B and 2C did they?

Application under Phase 1 is guaranteed. Hence, there is no need to mention about balloting. -

In the first place there is no quota in Phase 1 or 2A how to get ballot ???
