Star Learners
-
Hi Leo,
I went goggle and type star learners, and there's alot of link to other forums like mummysg, or singaporemotherhood.
I read it in a forum, but could not recall from which link.. I will have to go search again.. as in office, cant access that two link now.. got to wait till home den can go search the link again if u want. If I dont remember wrongly, its in singaporemotherhood forum and its under preschool coloum.
I am just still lucky enough that office does not block access to kiasuparents..
hmm.. I called up the sch becoz wanted to make an appt to view the center, but twice I called, twice also got loud \"yell\" at phone, in terms picking up and answering the phone, with the greetings and stuff. But after which when I asked info, den still ok... Just able to sense that they are really busy, and short handed coz not really want to talk much...
Yup, wish to have more review.. can anyone share??
Anyway Leo,
May I asked ur opinion as well, do you think placing them in a neighbourhood CC and give them extra enrichment program will be better or place them in a good CC which is so called all rounded would be sufficient? As I can only spare up to a certain amount for her sch's fee, so I can only choose either one.
I am quite confused which to chose.
Good names CC or HDB CC + enrichment. Coz I have frds telling me that CC only also study a few hours. More important is the enrichement.
My wish is to place her somewhere good and she can be academic prepared for P1, coz have frds child who went MMI and enrichment their child can cope better with P1 work and till P2 now still able to survive on own without parents or tution teaching. where else the other frd of mine, child is in HDB and no enrichment course finds it very hard to survive in P1.
I hope my post offends no one placing child in HDB area.. I know child is individual.. just wanna get more views.. hope no chopping on me... Sorry :imsorry:
And hopes to get more reviews...
Thanks so much for all who read and give me reviews in advance..
Greatly appreciate.... -

When DD switch from 3 hr playgroup to CC, I calculated the timing, and yes, the hours spent on teaching is quite the same. To me, the other aspect is the socialisation among peers and learning to be independent.
Why I choose SL (that time) is because I am unable to find a CC that closes after 7.30pm near my place, so have to find one that it nearer to my mom's place. And a few years ago, SL's school fees is comparable to the higher end void deck CCs.
I am a FTWM, and frankly speaking, I will like it very much if I can find a CC with suitable enrichment so that I do not have to bring her to enrichment classes during weekends. But different parents have different thinking, and still having to take into consideration the distance, price, etc. -

My daughter has been there since she was 17mo. She's now in N1 (42mo)..
So far quite happy with the teachers there although there's always room for improvement..

How’s the sch fees like? And close at 7pm?
Doubt I can make it in time to fetch my boy if I were to plc him there… -

Hi, noticed this thread hasn’t been active for a while.
I am a new mom and will be enrolling my daughter soon, I was wondering if Star Learners is good? Seems like there’s a mixed review but maybe it has improved over the years?
I live in Sengkang and it will be convenient cause there is a Sengkang branch too.
Anyone could share? Thanks!
