These type of shoes are meant to wear with minimum walking, eg. Walk to car park, drive to destination's car park, walk to destination and sit whole evening = attend wedding dinner. Haha!

No... this kinda shoes are not meant for walking. They're meant for ladies who get carried around on a palanquin!! πŸ˜†

I like my slippers at $2.90 from the market. I would wear these everywhere if I dared!!

same thing happened to my friend's pair of sf shoes but jimmy choo???? i am surprised.....

        http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-2025689/These-Choos-NOT-walking-The-425-designer-shoes-look-old-tatty-day-s-wear.html
Hm, I am surprised by the writer! It's not just Jimmy Choo, but all these stiletto type shoes, and including expensive leather covered heels that may need resoling before wearing. There will not be an instruction tag because it is all down to HOW you intend to use your shoes and your lifestyle. How often you wear them and the duration, whether you drive, or take public transport. Will you be walking mostly on carpets, on hard ground? Then take a look at the sole and get it appropriately re-soled if need to before you wear them. (Even for carpets, you may want to resole them but with a thinner sole as the original sole can slip on carpet).

It's like you won't wear a diamond watch while taking a hot shower or into the swimming pool right?

If you use nubuck or suede, you have to put a protective coating before wearing them and recoat regularly. If you use normal leather, you have to condition the leather. Taken care of properly, shoes will last a long time regardless of brand.

Jimmy choo’s shoes are meant for showing off.

To me, Jimmy Choo's embody the spirit of consumerism and worship of objects that has brought many a great nation to its knees. Think Babylon, Rome and USA. I can well afford them but I will never buy them. I much prefer to emulate the lifestyle of the Amish people and if I can manage to, I would have reason to be proud - http://petunialee.blogspot.com/2010/08/amish.html

unlike bags, it is kinda hard to tell if the shoes are a branded pair unless one follows fashion closely or the shoes have the logo displayed on it for all to see or when you take off the shoes.

i know a ex co-worker who loved branded stuff and he always flipped his ties over his shoulder or turn his tie the other wayround so that the brand name could be seen by all. πŸ˜‰

Was wondering what was Amish and checked out the blog. Know them as Mennonite and seen them before in Canada, they are very quiet people and we were told by the locals not to take any pictures as it would be offensive...

They are usually at the farmer's market with their produce... It's so fresh and untainted with pesticides..It was my weekend haunt πŸ˜‰

They live without any comforts of the current society and use kerosene still if I am not wrong...

πŸ˜† Is he afraid that no one will know he's wearing branded goods?

It's amazing how the Amish community is able to remain 'untainted' from external influence.

I was first 'exposed' to them after watching the movie Witness, the one with Harrison Ford and Kelly McGillis.

Quality but it is also true that the price is not a gd indicator of comfort. πŸ˜› i go for guess heels tho, have never gotten a single blister, tho i do not walk the entire orchard rd in heels πŸ˜„
