Hi MathIzzzFun! Thanks for your explanation. šŸ˜„

      bookwormkids:
Q2. length = 3 x breadth... with this, I think you can solve it šŸ˜„

      For each rectangle, breadth = 1u, length = 3u, perimeter of figure = 2 x (3u+3u+1u) = 14u = 28cm. So, 1u = 2cm

      Area of figure = 3u x 4u = 6cm x 8 cm = 48 cm2

      cheers.

            Hi all:

            Need help on following qn:
Jessica had $300 more than Pamela.
After Pamela spent $60, the amount of money she had left was 1/6 of
the amount of money Jessica had. How much money had Pamela at first?
            (Ans: $132)

              Hi Chokos,

You can try seeing the qn in this way.

At first, Pamela has $300 less than Jessica.
After Pamela spent her $60, she will now have $360 less than Jessica.
              So 5u = $360, 1u = $72
              Money Pamela had at first = $72 + $60 = $132.

              Hope this helps. šŸ˜„

                    Hi

answer is 252 if you are looking for the largest number that is less than 270. The number is divisible by both 6 & 7, so it has to be divisible by 42. The largest multiple of 42 that is less than 270 = 42 x 6 = 252.

                    cheers.

                        Hi

If anyone can help in the following questions please. : Thank you

                        1) Aik Huat Provision sold 100 plates and bowls on a paticular day.
BY noon 5/8 of the plates and 12 bowls had been sold.
In the end, there was an equal number of plates and bowls.
How many bowls were there at first?
