tigger88:
We are using organic brands which do not have sugar added (check out ingredient list). Sugar can be listed as sucrose, monosaccharide, disaccharide, etc.I just started giving plain rice cereal to my 5 months old baby. I bought the Nestle brand as I cannot find the Heinz plain rice cereal anymore.
What other brands of rice cereal are good to start with? I find Frisocream too sweet. -
tigger88:
I find Nestle even sweeter than Frisocream. Have tried organic rice cereal (Bellamy) with my bb but she doesn't like it even when I add fruit puree to it. :moneyflies:I just started giving plain rice cereal to my 5 months old baby. Bellamy is very very bland. My DS2 doesn't like it either. But rather than let it go to waste, I add it with pumpkin, sweet potato or fruit like apple, pear etc .... -

He prefers to chew on his food than to have mushy food (so unlike DS1)! -

I tried mixing Bellamy with Frisocream but she can detect it. :stupid: Have started brown/red/white rice porridge mixed with meat and fish, on top of veg since she was 7.5 months. She loves her porridge
