recently, she seems to be teething. any advice from anyone here? where can i buy gel or cream for my baby to apply?
:thankyou: -
I use Dentinox teething gel, available at Guardian and Watsons. But it does not work miracles - baby still fuss about at night although a bit less than usual. PD says the upper teeth is more painful than the lower ones. Can’t wait for the upper ones to be out and I can get my uninterrupted sleep back…

hi Trina,
for how long should i apply the gel? now i'm giving her semi-solid foods cos she just started. is there any food i should avoid during her teething stage? she is 6+ months old now.
thanks -
I put a bit on the gum after the last feed (and after she fell asleep).

my boi intake is even lesser than tat.. recently onli drink 300ml the whole day.. but i gave him prunes and cerals.. not sure what is wrong with him, yoghurt? u mean those can b bought from supermarket? is it a bit too young to be giving them?Hi angelmh,
My 9 mth old is quite erratic in his milk intake after being introduced to solids. Most days he drinks about 400 to 450 ml. Sometimes more. My elder one was also like that. My take is to use your mother's instinct. If your kid is thriving well, then you can supplement calcium with yogurt or tofu. That's what I did/am doing.
It could also be a phase that the child is going through.
My 2 cents -

my boi is underweight... so much tat i'm so worried.. when u say milk strike what u mean? doesn't drink milk at all or lesser intake? how do ur know that your bb is teething?Angelmh
I started with milk cereal at 5th month, then added carrot/pumpkin/sweet potato puree. Subsequently introduce fruits like apples, pear and banana. porridge was introduced at 6th month together with veg eg spinach and green peas. Delayed broccoli as it seems to give her gas (reintroduced recently and she is ok).I started giving baby meat from 7th month. So far only chicken, pork n beef. Tried cod fish when she turned 8 months but she rejected it, suspect it's the fishy smell. Will try again next month.
My girl is also an erratic milk drinker, had been on milk strike several times. Got better after switched from Nan HA to Nan Pro which I think is nicer tasting. But still doesn't finish bottle often esp when teething. Since she is above the 90th percentile since birth, I am not worried -

young to be giving them?
NTUC Bishan used to stock yogurt suitable for 6mths and above. Not sure if they still do cuz the past few times I been there, didn't see any. But I did
see them at Jasons at Paragon though.
Hope this helps -
Hi,
I am a mum of 2 who is currently not working after the birth of my son (born in year 2008) and my girl in 04/2011. Just want to learn and share more informations with all the dads and mum out there! -
Hi all,
My 10 month-old is eating well!He is drinking milk about 3 - 4 times daily each time 120 ml (means total about 480 ml per day). He is eating blended spinach, potato, carrot and beef all frozen in ice-cube trays and we mix one cube of each and steam for his lunch. For dinner, we usually feed him the organic rice cereal 3 teaspoons with one tea-spoon of milk powder (yummy!). I like the rice cereal very much because I find it so convenient! Can also use it to mix with the blended veg/meat too!
My BB is growing nicely and in terms of weight and height he is in the median according to the growth chart. Unlike my first boy who was always above the weight chart and he was overfed and we always got scolding from his PD. We are very careful this time round not to make the same mistake with my 2nd boy!
