All About Infant Care

DYJH:
Hihi, my girl is in Cherie Hearts @ Mountbatten. I put her in when she was 2 months and now she is 10 months old. I faced the problem whereby nobody to take care of her so IFC was my 1st choice. The good thing is this Cherie hearts is open till 7.30pm as compared to others maybe till only 7pm. My girl loves school, she is very happy to go school everyday maybe because in school they will teach her to read, flash cards, sings songs and etc. The IFC teachers there are nice too.I am now 4 months pregnant, EDD in early Aug. Now we headache whether to let maid look after or put in Infant care around our area. But we are worry to let maid look after as there will not be anybody at home to supervise. I think infant care is a better choice then, right?
We went to see 2 Infant care, ZEE and Cherie Heart @ Mountbatten. We like the CH @ Mountbatten cos it is spacious and clean. I need to go back to work when infant turn 3 month old.
Anybody care to share any feedback / comments on CH @ Mountbatten? Appreciated
The only cons for me is once your baby is exposed in IFC, they tend to fall sick easily. When my baby turns 6 months, she started to fall sick every month, then every 2 weeks. So this is a difficult period for me and every time we visited the PD, she will ask us to pull her out from the IFC. Nevertheless now we switch to TCM and we realized it is BETTER!
For me infant care is better as compared to a maid as i always feel that my baby learns more in IFC. -
Hi all, my EDD is in July and we have no one to help look after the baby after ML. Any recommendation for IFC around AMK??

JTS: IFC would be much more beneficial for your baby compared to maid. First of all, maid is not specialised profession - they will feed and clean the baby, but they would not care to engage or teach the baby (at least, do not expect a maid to do this!). Some might feel it is more economical to get a maid - cook, clean, babysit… but as a mother whom regrets having made this mistake (I had no choice because DH wanted MIL to come to our place for her daily entertainment - my DS!)… I am expecting #3 now, and either I will be a SAHM or I will send #3 to IFC - and by now, even DH admits his “mistake”.

Hi All,
I am keen to know any feedback about the MMI at Kovan? I am comparing this with Pat’s at Aroozoo branch. Any feedback about these two branches are welcome.
I have not been to any other schools except for these two and Cherie hearts. Instead of keep applying leave to visit and compare, hope to receive feedback here first before I visit the schools. I am looking around serangoon/kovan/hougang area.
Thank you. -

Will you consider Character Montessori?

A friend's kids (a boy and girl) go to the one in punggol (they stay at Florida, Hougang) with school bus option. From the father's feedback, not bad and that's why they are sending the girl to the same as kor kor's school.
I can't comment much as mine is attending one in the East.
PS: I am in no way associated with Character Montessori; posting coz i happen to know the above-mentioned parents staying in Hougang. -
Hi Dino-craze,
Don't think will consider Punggol area for this moment cos I don't drive. I am staying at serangoon area and working in town area. Not so convenient to send my son further up to Punggol and back to town for working.
Thanks for the recommendation anyway. -

Hi straffan23, would you mind elaborating a bit about why not sending bb to IFC is a mistake? Coz I'm facing a dilemma here. My MIL wants to take care of bb when I go back to work again, but I'm actually not very keen, because I feel that bb wouldn't learn v much and wld get spoiled rotten. Thinking of sending bb to IFC instead. However, I need to cite some evidence or examples to convince dh.. sigh headache. How to do this without offending in-laws.. and get dh on my side..
