hw old is yr son
9+, P4 this year. -
Even though DS1 doesn’t play computer games, he loves to go onto his school’s online learning portal to do the questions and win badges. Even though it’s academic in nature, I consider part of play/screen time. I tell him he can only go online after he has finished all his work (including piano practice). He will try to finish his work super fast so he has more time online. He’s P2. He doesn’t stay online longer than 30 mins.

My son has one hr play time everyday.but he need compulsory compter time otherwise he can't motivate to study. What to do?He cannot missed the computer hrs.He can miss the study hrs.He always thinking the quantity.I feel his quality study not enough. The timing is very difficult.3-4 study 4-5 computer 5-6 study 6-7 playground.I need to fetch my DD from school at 4pm.so I let him to see computer.otherwise he playing with fire.I just scared to let him alone without computer. In the one hr he just finish 5 pages faster and go away. Then I mark it.Then 5 I asked him to correct. Then the time run fast or he does slow. His playground time reach. Then he go to playground. His friend goes to playground at 6.I just feel cannot Teach properly.
1hr to play computer is too much, try to break down into 15mnts x 4. If he can't concentrate on his study for 1hr make it 45minutes but add the frequency, every 45minutes of study give a 15minutes break to play computer. -

Personally, I think SAHM is always short of time (for me). Housework, cooking(simple meals- one dish + one soup) and see to kids homework (especially their forever challenging problem sums), I hardly have ME time except when sending my gal for tuition which I have at least 2 hours to kill while waiting.
I really wish that I could work again as a full timer real soon. -

Exactly..this is what I was going thru..to path my way to FTWM, I started working as PTWM (flexi) this month, and boy...I am so struggling. Though the hours are flexi, but the deadlines are not!! I have to maintain the schedule at home at the same time..making sure that there is food on the table, house is cleaned up, someone to send/pick up the kids from sch/lessons, kids do their homework etc etc.Personally, I think SAHM is always short of time (for me). There is no ME Time now..and really, I am beginning to doubt if I shd quit and drop the idea of PTWM/FTWM.

If you intend to be PTWM or FTWM, it helps with another pair of hands at home, ie either a helper or parent support. It works for me at least.
