I agree with you...I want my daughter to study hard to get a good career.
But my kids always say I am the boss at home...bcos I make the decision. They think it is shiok bcos I can go shopping the moment they go to school.

My sons love that I stay home with them. They remember the days when I used to work. I don’t want them to think that a woman’s place is only at home, though. I want them to be active fathers and do their fair share of house work.

I hope that my boys have the capability to earn enough fortheir wives to stay at home, but hope that my DIL will choose to be Ftwm if she can handle as I don’t mind caring for my grandchildren. Husband said why I bother and probably should let them care for their own children . The cost of living in the future is too much for single income family to survive . And perhaps secretly I hope my grand kids can enjoy the lifestyle of dual income and my DIL can help lessen the burden of my boys.

I have just turned from a FTWM to a SAHM. I have 2 kids, DS 6 yrs old and DD 5 yrs old. Hope to join this club and share experience. I am also keen to meet up with kids should there be any meet sessions.

It's really a 'dream' job, until reality creeps in.

i am a SAHD + 'Maria' + Dinner preparer for abt 11 mths ( since last NDP 2011 )

tell your DH this:
when i was working and there is a domestic helper at home, i can sleep until 7:30 or 7:45.
now i have to be awake by 6:30 latest to wake up my Ds P5, DD, P3.

there is no office politics, can read those books that i cannot find time to read.

if all goes as planned, my DW will be going for 3/4 load next year as my DS is P6 next year.
